MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: JULY 17–23, 2017!
Baby’s first migrane, fancy Southern-style dinner, celebrating my mom’s birthday with a boat of Japanese food, donuts, Hollywood Bowl, visiting some Los Angeles museums, and some LA love in general.
Enjoy!
Working with the manuscripts curator again this season of Game of Thrones, this year on Instagram as well. Here’s the first post. 🙂
Left work a little early because I think I was having a migrane (never had one before).
Blurry vision and nausea, I just had to come home and lay down.
Tuesday I also stayed home from work, woke up feeling fatigued and exhausted.
Probably slept a total of like 24 hours after work Monday to Wednesday morning hah.
Zach made my soup recipe on Tuesday, he did a decent job!
Then I was dragged out to dinner, already had reservations and was promised if I started feeling worse we could leave.
Amazing fluffy toast and eggplant
Made it to work the next day, had a presentation to give.
Spent the evening watching Glow (anybody watch it?) and finishing another puzzle from my Disney set.
Starting my last puzzle of the set + a brussel sprout pictured haha
A huge spinach, goat cheese and beet salad + brussel sprouts. I can feel the poop coming on already.
Was sniffing around the arrival area and doing some research for my Monday night class. Was gifted some slime!
How to Get Away with Murder—can’t stop with the first season.
Tristan here to watch his first ever episode of Game of Thrones. His current theory…if somebody has hair in their face then they are going to die.
Morning! Working on some homework with Tipping Point on in the background (thx Rose).
I have today off work and I’m going to celebrate my mom’s birthday in the evening after going to Zach’s friend’s place for swimming.
Tubby by the door, he always has to try to run.
Appetizers—spicy albacore sashimi and my fav black cod at Matsuri.
I’m looking not great but my mom is so cute
Got a “Strawberry Lab” aka a donut filled with whipped cream and fresh strawberries, a “Compassion Fruit” with a passion fruit glaze, a “Husker blu,” a cake donut with fresh blueberries, and one I can’t find online but it was salted caramel.
Tipping Point on the big screen hahah
Saturday morning peace and quiet
Starting this puzzle I’ve had in the apartment. This one is 1000 pieces.
The pieces feel more sturdy and high quality. Where did I get this puzzle!?!
Aryn and Zuli in town for FYF Fest. We had breakfast and caught up.
On my way to my mom’s annual Hollywood Bowl picnic thinggy.
Big picnic area everybody socializing and having wine and a fuck ton of food.
Village People teaching YMCA…unreal.
Went to LACMA to see one of the Pacific Standard Time shows, “Home: So Different, So Appealing.”
Wallpaper crumbling and peeling like a painting
I enjoyed the exhibition—a mix of installation, quieter peaces, thoughtful connections. I wish it was a bigger show!
Wandering around the La Brea Tarpits
Popped over to the Craft and Folk Art Museum
Stopped to get a quick bite at a place near Universal
Zach wanted to see Dunkirk “as it was meant to be viewed” on the true IMAXX at Universal Citywalk. So naturally you gotta enjoy the tourist vibes.
I am not a war movie person, but I did enjoy Dunkirk. I’m no expert, but it was shot friggin beautifully (the film looked GORGEOUS THOSE BLUE TONES AND SKIN TONES AH), had very little dialogue, and really emphasized that wars are fought by teenage boys, young boys.
To the Getty for the multicultural undergraduate internship anniversary party
I’ll end the week here. Cheers to the MUI program. Yay for puzzles and getting over feeling sick.
Enjoy!
I love your blog. I always leave feeling inspired to document my own life — and in awe of all the things you do. I’m so glad you found a new home after LJ! Thank you for sharing your photos and thoughts with us!
