MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: JUNE 26–JULY 2, 2017!
Hanging with friends before everybody leaves LA to vacation, a spontaneous blood donation, free concert at a museum in downtown, and a weekend with my parents back at home.
Off to work, bye Zeen! He’s off on a family trip for almost two weeks.
Since carpooling I haven’t been to this shuttle stop area recently, and the flowers are so nice!
Didn’t ration my bread properly for sandwiches and had to improvise
Listening to Tristan’s new podcast he does with his friends. They drink beers, they tal, they laugh. Lots of swallowing sounds ahah.
In Westwood for my new evening class (only on Mondays).
The class is 3.5 hours…had to use the break midway through to run to Coffee Bean
Family dinner! Both Kiki and Tristan are leaving me for summer trips so soaking up some friendship.
Was craving some classic Catan
There was an employee blood donation going on at work and when I was at the doctor the week before I was thinking that I really should do this when an opportunity arises…and it so happened it was on Wednesday. I got cold feet but was encouraged by a few co-workers to just do it. I was assured it would take like an hour tops for the whole thing…so…went with it.
I did it! Had to lay down for an extra hour and accidentally missed a meeting…but heyo it’s worth it right.
Got home and was feeling poopy, so had the laziest dinner ever…
Tristan’s empty desk (he’s on vacation). I printed a photo but our printer only does black and white so now it kind of looks like a sad memorial but I swear he’s alive and happy.
Been reflecting that my makeup/grooming skills kind of peaked in college (probably living with other girls and picking up skills and habits from them) and AM I GETTING UGLIER omg. Just one of those self-conscious days.
Met up with Kiki at her apartment, going downtown tonight.
We got out of the metro right at magic hour when the sun was setting. It was v atmospheric.
Jake showing me important things
Far Bar wasabi fries I just want to swim in the wasabi sauce
“I wish man buns weren’t ruined”
Pups! You wanna go on a vacation?
Mmmmm black bean fish and mapo tofu
My parents wanted to visit Progress
Struggling as my dad tries to figure out how to take a photo on my mom’s phone
My mom went to the fish market early to get some yellowtail and maguro and omg omg omg I got to eat as much as I wanted
Was crowded this morning—PUG SIGHTING!
Went to my cousin’s house to swim
I did a full documented day swimming with them a few weeks ago. You can see that here if you haven’t already!
In a few weeks they’ve been even more confident swimmers! It’s fun to use my camp counselor skills and “teach” basic swim skills. NOT taking credit for their success, just surprised how often my counselor-instincts still kick in.
Damn can’t take a decent selfie anymore (plus the eczema on my face still hasn’t cleared…). Clearly having some kind of moody week ahah. Sorry but heyo it’s my brain.
THIS. PUZZLE. Has been out on my parent’s table since CHRISTMAS! It’s SO hard and even harder to work on with artificial lighting. But I powered through and completed about half of it.
Pups having a lazy weekend home too
Can’t forget about Tubby though
6 am, a totally natural time to head to pick up my auntie and head to a casino
It was kinda crowded for being like 7:30am—my mom is obsessed with this one game (this game was also on the Mexican Rivieria cruise ship we went on earlier this year) and I think she’s been missing it. You can see some cruise life stuff here and here if you’re curious.
Hotdog with mayo, ketchup and mayo
My mom wanted to get my dad some painting clothes (For when he gets around to painting the house) so we ran through Goodwill.
Caught Tweedy stretching. Spent the afternoon doing some homework for my Monday night class and some freelance work too.
Dad grilled some porkchops and potatoes. Mmmmm. Artichoke…mmmmm.
I’ll leave this blurry pic of Sufi on my street. Went back to bed to work and watch Riverdale. #TeamJughead
Much love friends.

Yay for giving blood! I should really follow your example and find out where the nearest blood drive is happening.
YOU AREN’T GETTING UGLIER. OR UGLY AT ALL!! but yeah I had a moment the other day and realised I do my makeup the same way every. single. day.
Your cousins’ pool looks ideal right now.
Your puzzle is of the Cinque Terre, right?? I’ve wanted to go there for years and in the past year two of my friends have gone and I’m so envious! It looks stunning.
My friends made a podcast about Riverdale called Teen Peaks, but I don’t think it’s on iTunes anymore. That show is ridiculous and I LOVE IT.
I hope to donate again when I can! It was much less painful and scary than I worked it out to be.
And ahaha thanks for the reassurance. Instagram shows me a lot of makeup tutorials and man…I have no skills. AND I have bad sensitive eczema prone skin…no fair.
I’m so thankful for my cousin’s pool…I’m gonna sneak in their backyard when it gets too hot in my apartment. I have no AC and this weekend in LA is going to be over 100 degrees F. 100!!!! ahh.
My puzzle is indeed Cinque Terre…it’s a long exposure night photograph and it’s really hard to use color to build the puzzle cuz it’s a little off. You’ve been traveling a lot recently, no?? How have your travels been?
Omg I just finished Riverdale LAST NIGHT. I bonded with my little teen cousins over Riverdale. I had a blast watching it, for sure.
A. You aren’t ugly!! You and your friends are all so beautiful.
B. More dogs! I’m jealous as I have no pets in my life.
C. I can’t give blood (too many years abroad) so thanks for doing that!
Of course you’re not ugly! But I totally went through the same thing when I was 27, I just realized there was something wrong w my face…and when I read up on it, apparently our faces age and we have to do lots of things like skincare, fillers (for volume loss), our fat also starts to protrude in our under eyes due to the tear troughs…ugh :(( growing up sucks!
