Leaving San Francisco, a week of prepping props and costumes for Marie’s short, and a weekend on set…dealing with zombies, intestines, and fake blood.

Good morning, San Francisco. We’re up and ready to go by 5:30 am.

Made it! And today’s Getty Underground, every 2 years there’s a big employee art showcase. There’s also music, dancing, poetry, video, sculpture…

Underground also has an opening party with food and a DJ and performances from fellow staff.

Next day, I run to Goodwill, last minute shopping for more zombie costumes

Went through a car wash cuz I’M A FUNCTIONING ADULT

Google videos on how to make intestines. Sending Marie samples. “Which intestines do you like better?”

Working through a check list of props for the short

Make shift dinner from the pantry, a frozen chicken breast, a packet of sesame sauce and some ramen noodles

Prop shopping, and I find the perfect ham for the zombies to bite into as human flesh. Guys. Don’t google “how to make fake human flesh for eating.”

Good morning, set! After sleeping in and running around for a few last minute props. Then started mixing up my yummy edible barbecue sauce blood.

So. Tired. Left set that night at 5am, feeling like a zombie myself today.

3rd day on set, just a few hours. Only had to dress a bathroom.

Celebratory dinner at Pine and Crane. Mmmmmm.
