MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: JUNE 27 – JULY 3, 2016!
A week of gorgeous summer sunsets, bonding with gecko, a trip to Disneyland to escape adulting, preparing for a Hamburglers Only themed party, shooting a freelance jewelry job, and a weekend of eating in a greenhouse and wine-tasting with friends.
Enjoy!
It’s so hot outside, but freezing in the office. Makes it hard to find clothing to wear.
Deer on the helipad! There’s baby ones.
Spicy ramen from the packet, no shame.
Such a beautiful summer sky – killin’ it LA
Over on the East Side for a b-day party
Last day for the summer of Disney-pass usage (we’re all blocked out) so we went on my day off.
California adventure is mostly just bouncing between Tower of Terror and Carsland.
Beers and pickle popcorn while waiting an hour in the standby line for the new Frozen stage show.
It was surprisingly delightful
Love being giddy like a kid and experiencing something at Disney for the first time
Always tempted by this ewok beanie/scarf combo. Always.
Matterhorn has been so good lately
Waiting for a table at the soup dumpling place.
Apparently he’s nocturnal, so I let him jump around the kitchen in the evenings.
Co-worker lunch, we split leftover pizza and salad
Went to see Finding Dory with Marie, Kiki, and Zeen. Marie’s backpack was just as delighted by the film as we were.
Receiving texts like this at work, so good. Kiki went shopping for the costumes we had to make that evening.
Quickly whipped together a hamburger pattern, then printed a few to cut out hamburgers individually.
Marie takes all our silly gear to the car
Blurry, but hahaha Zach in Kiki’s shirt
COMPLETE! Hamburgler costumes.
It was Joe’s birthday, and the requirement for attendance was to be dressed as the Hamburgler. Minimum – face mask, hat, hamburger tie, and striped shirt.
It was a School Picture Day party, so I took everybody’s “school photo”, the next day worked on editing together the collage.
The pups enjoyed the sun while I edited photos
Prop hamburgers aka real hamburgers touched by everybody at the party
I accepted this freelance product photography gig – it’s been a relaxing process. A looooong process, but relaxing.
The lighting set up in my living room made the apartment…SO. HOT. Consumed so much iced coffee.
Zach took me and a friend Ryan to TURF, a mini-golf course with courses designed by architects.
Course made of a bouncy rubber material…so hard
Somehow Zach got a hole in one on this one
It’s open through the end of July if you are in LA, and it’s suggested donation of $5 a person.
Dinner in a beautiful green house!
Fancy cocktail in a fancy greenhouse
Tuck in your napkin like a lady
It was on the 2nd floor of the Line Hotel
Ticket window through the ear of this skull/face sculpture at the California Institute of Abnormalarts
An evening of comedy in a really hot room.
A Sunday day trip with Marie, Kiki, Zach, and Marie’s friend Becca to Solvang.
Solvang, the Danish Village in the middle of the Santa Ynez Valley.
We purchased some cheese (and I got this cute little cheese cutter/peeler thinggy)
Then we drove out to some nearby wineries in Buellton.
Windows down, hat on my face…felt an allergy attack coming on.
Marie doesn’t drink…this is her bored face I guess
At last, we found a place for our cheese picnic
Great carpet at Chumash, the Casino outside Santa Ynez
I mis-calcuated my bet, hit a bonus, immediately cashed out…and surprise! I don’t like gambling…had to stop it there. Passing on the luck to you!
Much love friends!
