MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: MAY 9-15, 2016!
Caught the office cold early on in the week, reunited with Kiki after she’d been in a work vortex, cooked way more than usual, tried acupuncture for the first time, and slurped some oysters.
Enjoy!
Wearin’ my thick denim dress and skin colored socks.
Cheek update. Main problem now is that my eyebrows and forehead itttchhhh so much
The Lourve RTed my project *yusssssss*
I’ve driven past this lot so long, and even posted photos of the movie posters plastered on it. Turns out there’s actually a building there. Weird.
Grocery shoppin’ late on Monday
Woke up feeling crappy, with a headache and sore throat. Sucked it up, made a snack and went to work.
We sit in a weird little underground office that nobody sees, but apparently the campus architect haaaates our door. We had kitty and asked people to name him. How can you hate thisssss.
Nacho party to welcome new team members to the web team! Including Tristan! Who made the jump from the PR team to my team!
Snatched some popcorn for my drive
The main reason I wanted to just suck it up and power through the day is Kiki had a big presentation that evening. She took an advertising class that turned into a team competition and they presented in front of real clients. HIGH STAKES.
Right before the presentation where everybody was nervous and buzzing around
Going to make a really basic “hot pot”
Pretty good! I don’t recommend pad thai noodles though, they were a bit too soft (but maybe that was my fault in over cooking them). I just couldn’t find rice noodles that were thicker and tougher at my Ralphs.
My cheeks are dry, my eyes are puffy. Yeah, I’m gonna stay home sick and work from home.
Breakfast lentils, add soy sauce.
Around 3, I stopped working and moved to bed with a bowl of leftover “hot pot”
Had to go to a production meeting that eve. Really nailed it.
The next day, I was feeling much better. Probably just had a little cold. Tristy and I are out in the field shooting the new Rembrandt installation.
Gabby is over with a bag of Tweed!
I attempted to make pesto in a blender.
I’d add less noodles or make more pesto next time.
Gabby showed me the show Cooked, have you watched it? SO GOOOOOD.
Brought my mom this Eagles special I saw, she LUURVED it
Went to get acupuncture for the first time to try to help my stomach/liver which is connected to my itchiness and skin. (Look, spot van Gogh’s Irises)
Took home some herbs to take a few times a day for the next few days
Stopped by Goodwill, and LOOOOK the best happy face, sad face print. But the dress was too damaged and thin.
Man the cats have really destroyed the kitty tree.
I got this little thinggy to clip onto my air vent in my car and now my phone doesn’t have to sit in my lap!
I got home and was feeling WEIRD and exhausted, perhaps from the treatment earlier. I just slept it off in bed. Also, Zach says my cheeks look a bit clearer? I never want to get my hopes up.
Attempted a quick butter sauce for the leftover noodles
Accidentally made it really salty, but overall p good
Zach finally decided to open his chocolate frog from Universal
View from my phone on the little clip thinggy
Kiki’s landlord decided to paint their building without telling anybody and maaaan, bold choice.
Hitting up Temescal Park Trail
The weather was nice, not too hot and definitely on the cloudy side. Nice to get outdoors.
We almost made it to Skull Rock but got confused so we turned around.
Post-hike feast at my fav breakfast place
For the first time in what feels like forever, I felt okay enough about my cheeks to try a little bit, to put on eyeliner, to fill in my now very patch eyebrows…to cut my bangs! I was growing them long to cover my patchy eyebrows…
Celebrating Kiki’s raise at work!
Next morning, still feeling better than in a looong time.
Went for a long lunch at my Aunt’s house, my uncle from Utah was in town. Their dog is so cute.
Best dog ready to hang on the way into Ralph’s
Actually did grocery shopping on SUNDAY night for once. Whaaat!
Rewarded with a lovely sunset!
Booked an Airbnb for my trip to Portland with Kiki and Zach in the summer.
And that’s it!!
Much love friends.
