MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: MAY 2-7, 2016!
A rocky start to the week with a 24 hour travel experience, a gathering with friends, swim suit shopping (boooo!), mourning Yoko, and a beautiful loving Mother’s Day weekend getaway with my whole family.
Enjoy!
Good morning from the floor of the airport. I slept on the floor in Charlotte’s airport for maybe about 4 hours before we woke up, noticed a gate change, and took a walk.
Zach is v. tired, he didn’t sleep much.
I know it’s morning, but my body clock is all out of whack. Noodles, chips, and coffee for breakfast.
On the way to Los Angeles, at last!
After 24 hours traveling, we’ve finally made it to Los Angeles!!!! *kisses ground*
In an amazing yet maybe unsurprising turn of events based on our travel luck, the cab we got into got into a very minor accident on an on-ramp. It was just dumb, our driver was def at fault and we were so tired and we just wanted to go home. We walked to a nearby hotel and called an uber…
Minor accident, but the drivers wouldn’t stop screaming at each other and blocking traffic.
Had a meeting with some museum folks on La Brea at dusk.
Yeaaaah! A project I work on every week is mentioned on AV Club!
Having a rough eczema spot between my fingers, they crack and hurt and crack and hurt…ugh

A moody evening at the Getty and the biggest/closest rainbow I’ve ever seen
Had to quickly run into Target for a swimsuit to hang with my little cousins. Of course I found other stuff I wanted.
Packed and ready to head out to a family trip to Murrieta for Mother’s Day Weekend
The vet we used to take Yoko to is now a weird hipster shop “Biscotti and Baskets”
My mom and her sisters love gambling, so of course we stopped at Pechanga before heading to check in at the house for the weekend.
My mom played the penny slots and I hung with my dad
Drove out to a house in the land of ranches and horses.
Hung out with the lil’ ones on the trampoline waiting for the other family to arrive
My dad couldn’t wait to bust out the 1000 piece puzzle
My room, the other rooms were all occupied. It’s great, I’m in the theater room on a lazy boy.
I can watch SVU really huge on the big screen
In the morning I was on breakfast duty with my cousin, Erin.
We made a bunch of bacon, Hawaiian roll french toast, and an egg casserole.
Char and Syd help me finish the 1000 piece puzzle in the AM.
My Aunt’s pup Lacey is here. I luuurve her.
Cribs, welcome to our (temporary) ridic house
We all walked around and explored the area. Came across from alpacas!
The two boys struggled to carry Lacey (who at this point was too tired/lazy to walk on her own)
My dad loves puzzles so much that he wouldn’t stop eating as he worked through his second puzzle
Everybody took turns playing Pie Face, you basically spin a dial and whatever number you get you rotate the crank holding the hand with whipped cream…the kids couldn’t get enough.
But then everybody wanted to go swimming (even though it was cold!!)
I can’t believe how much swimming was happening. The water was painfully cold. I sat in the hot tub mostly.
The weekend was lovely, seeing family, hanging day and night, watching movies, and playing games. *Sigh* I love ’em all.
I drove Syd and Blake home, Blakey was pooped. So cute.
A quick stop by Disneyland, cuz we are sick.
Watched the show at the Royal Theater that told the story of Tangled. P. cute.
I leave ya with this dusky photo in California Adventure.
Much love friends.
