MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: FEBRUARY 15-21, 2016 (PART 2)!

More days in New York! More museums, a raving time at Sleep No More (LET’S CHAT IF YOU’VE DONE IT), rooftop drinks and waffle fries with Iris, and a shih tzu puppy. Does it get better than that?

START HERE WITH PART 1 OF THIS WEEK.

Enjoy!

I looked up where to get a rooftop drink, found this place that has an interesting lodge with beds, bunks, a tiny office and more for you to explore/sit inside of. This is the McKittrick Hotel. The rooftop is called Gallow Green.

There’s also a fancy restaurant and bar with a live singer

Noticed this in the bathroom…

Turns out this is the home of Sleep No More, an interactive theater experience that premiered in 2011 and got really famous. I actually remember an SVU episode that riffed on this concept. The audience wears white masks, and everybody anonymously moves through the 5 level warehouse that is the theater. You can go through drawers, open cabinets, follow characters, drop in on scenes…and of course follow characters as they move through the spaces, interact with each other…and more. It was…SO cool. I highly recommend you try this! Anonymous yet intimate (I had a one-on-one moment with the nurse character in a closet where she removed my mask, gave me a rose…recited a loving dialogue…kissed my forehead, and let me go). It’s impossible to see every scene, to know every character…I think the people I chose to follow were definitely smaller characters but…yeah. Have you done it? Let’s chat.
