MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: FEBRUARY 22-28, 2016!
Recovering from New York, stuck in jury duty, playing with watercolors again, and a few days in Austin, Texas!
Enjoy!
Back from New York…was a long night of travel the day before. Was a welcome sight to see Tweedy’s cutie pie face in the morning.
The Getty re-did their cafe and now there’s a “Sriracha Bar”, today I’m trying the pho!! It was okay…but honestly I’m happy to just have that option.
New favorite little lunch spot
Feeling so snotty/sneezy/allergic to the world, the only cure is snuggly knits and this poncho.
Subject of our weekly Periscope
We noticed that some of the European paintings galleries had been moved around
Look at all these new flavors!!!! I’m sad I can’t find those pickle chips I had from San Luis Obispo anywhere
Groceries…definitely had to sneak in some Sriracha kettle chips
Making my favorite ginger-y chicken soup
Tweedy loves the warm sheets right out of the dryer. And…he looks SO DIRTY AND GREY compared to the white sheets. Ew
Always finding new buildings on my commute that I like
Auntie Kiki and Tweedy rekindling their love
Making a thank you note watercolor
I was called in for jury duty…but I decided to take the metro and that was great.
It’s so much fun to take public transit, even if LA’s is kind of lacking.
A courthouse that I accidentally went into…(was the wrong one)
The best part of jury duty? A long lunch in Little Tokyo! I got to read, eat some poke sushi, and sit outside. So nice.
My styrofoam cup cracked and I spilled hot coffee all over my hands and shirt. Jury duty baby.
Projecting on the big screen…*the best*
The pups love sitting on the patio in the morning
Finished my little doodle of Stage Deli, a now closed deli in NY.
Also got cracking on cleaning up my work table
Testing out watercolors in the tube…
Should be packing for Austin, instead playing with Snapchat.
Good morning from Lake Austin!
Staying with Zach’s family in Austin for the weekend to see his dad in a play.
Finally got to visit the Blanton!
Zach taking a candy from Felix Gonzalez-Torres’ installation in Come as You Are: Art of the 1990s.
Lookin’ at medieval manuscripts
You could use this iPad to translate pages of text on the illuminated manuscripts
Scootering to the Contemporary
A great show of works by Mark Mothersbaugh of DEVO
His mirrored works were all delightful and great
Over 30,000 drawings/postcards
Interactive space to make your own mirrored work
And that’s it!
Much love friends.
