MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: FEBRUARY 15-21, 2016 (PART 1)
A day with the family at the Museum of Death, hot pot with Kiki and Ders, and a journey to New York for a museum-filled work trip.
Nothing screams President’s Day like a family trip to the Museum of Death.
Sploot! This is the Death Museum pup.
I learned that my mom really loves gore. I guess I kind of knew she was into the blood and guts stuff because when I was younger she’d always watch those surgery shows and medical shows…
I watched my mom de-bone and de-skin a bunch of chicken thighs before running off to meet Kiki, Zeen, and Ders
Boiling Point has a fancy numbering system now that involves an iPad and tiny papers and texting

Goodbye, Tweedy boy! I’m off to New York for a work trip…
There’s a mini Cole’s in the American Airlines terminal! It was waaaay too early to get a drink, but good to know.
There was a 4 hour delay…but at least the plane arrived safely!
Watched Best in Show on the plane. Delightful. I got really emotional for some reason…when all the dogs were winning…I know it’s satire.
A loooooong travel day. Made it to New York!
Alone in the city! Needed to find some food…
Wandered into Takashi, had a grill all to myself.
The Freedom Tower glows in the distance

At the Morbid Anatomy Museum
House of Wax, an exhibit of a selection of waxworks once shown as part of Castan’s Berlin-based Panopticum (1869-1922). A lot of these wax works were about pregnancy/childbirth and syphilis. A true mystery.
Go eat pizza here if you’re near the Brooklyn Museum ever!
