MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: AUGUST 25 – 31
A mildly busy week complete with my reunion with foosball, many many meats, conquering lake-entering fears, and snuggling b-day kitty. I hope it's mildly interesting! Enjoy.
Starting out Monday with a lovely wandering around Getty grounds to find spots to shoot a few pubs.
I found myself at work pretty late, but it didn't bother me as I walked out into this sunset…
MmMmmmmMm can't get enough.
The smog line even looked luminescent
Tweedy scoping out dinner. It's just teriyaki chicken, boyo!
Really proud of my new desktop background at work. Isn't it a bit Tweedy-like?
My wall is nice and bright at work now. ❤
Tried my first ever white russian. It was using almond milk, but hey – tasted like choco heaven to me!
They've been watching Bachelor in Paradise, so I came to check out what all the commotion was about. I think the creator of the concept should probably just go to hell… 🙂
BUT got to meet this pup! So it was a win.
Wednesdays off, pups soakin' up the sunshine
Went on a jog around my neighborhood, enjoyed taking in the scenes.
Sweaty and disorganized, will this be me forever?
Went to get stamps from the post office – really? I mean, I guess I'm not complaining. It was just surprising to get from the auto dispenser.
Kiley came over and we went downtown to meet up with James.
Teaching everybody how to play
I'm a sucker for this bathroom.
My view every morning…pup booty.
Clear blue sky at work the next day
Like a perfect painting
The sky carried on into the evening
Cooked up the chicken breast I marinated over night (garlic and soy sauce…)
Another night, another comedy gig
Zeen doing more stand up at a place in Santa Monica
He's NOT REAL!
Hey 3rd Street, time to play girl and shop a lil'
Burgers make it better
But BBQ makes it ALL a MILLION times better. Okay, just check out the size of that beef rib. It's like three times the size of my hand, maybe as long as my ulna.
Gurls night truly isn't over until you've done a face mask
At a place in North Hollywood this time
After the gigglefest, we were in the mood to play some games.
After playing foosball with Rachel in SF, I'm now so pumped whenever I see it at a bar.
Maybe the worst photobooth photos ever taken
And of course (captured by James) was this lovely struggle. We leave around 1:30 AM – ONLY my car key is missing off of my huge lanyard of keys. How is this possible? Either way – we hang around till closing, search with lights on, leave emptyhanded, witness an assault outside the bar, call police, drama drama, leave, drive to South Pas, get my spare key, go back to bar, unlock car, drive home…*whew* Don't wanna forget that mess.
Next day went to visit my Uncle Frank, a dear dear great Uncle to me. I always went to his when I was little, so nice to see him.
Got to go swimming with my little cousins too! What a treat.
Back at home mama breaks out the beers.
Aw, Yokie. She won't let me clean her eyes anymore!
And Mr. Tubby birthday boy cat!
I got him a brand new catnip toy.
I pick up my friend Jill. I've promised to take her to Kevin's brewery for a while now…
This place is so so so friendly. The atmosphere is always warm and celebratory. A dude came around with a bunch of pizzas and passed them out to everybody there. We played a game of Monopoly cards, tried a flight, enjoyed some pizza…what a treat!
MmMmmmm. Try it out if you're in the San Gabriel valley.
Sunday morning, perfect time for a hike.
Unfortunately woke up a bit later than I wanted to and arrived at the trail head around 9:15 AM.
But this was a fun trail recommended to me by my friend Kiley who told me about Malibu Pools.
Finally reached the pools and there was a crowd of peeps with a massive yellow floatie.
I have a fear of water that I can't see to the bottom of. This goes for lakes, especially. It was sooo hot by the time we reached the pools that I was ready to face my fears. I DID IT.
Peeps were cliff jumping here. Insane.
Stumbled across another trail that intersected that lead to the former set of M.A.S.H.
Stopped at Sprouts on the way back and grabbed a Jamba Juice and these babies.
But then it hit me…perhaps mild heat exhaustion? I had a headache and was so weak for the rest of the day. Took two naps, just couldn't sit up was so exhausted. So my Sunday ended around 9 pm…and most of the evening was spent in a sleepy daze.
Next 30 Seconds coming soon! With some GoPro footage cause I'm a snazzy nerd.
Much love friends.
