My Week in Photos: June 23 – 30
Creative stimulation, art, excessive fun at Disneyland and a visit from Aryn!
Girl pictures and at home face treatments galore. Hope you enjoy!
Starting off the week in the Central Garden. New summer flowers are getting planted in the garden, and it was my pleasure to document that process.
Kiki and what I'm certain is a haunted house.
Michael at our friend's publication launch.
Demonic light during a particularly haunting soundscape
Wearin' Tweedy shirt while snugglin' Tweedy
Tim and Iris here to party. Mario Party that is.
Sweetie pies.
Sneaking a peak at a new gallery interactive for an exhibition that opens tomorrow.
It shows the comparison between an original Watteau drawing and it's counterproof. Simple, but effective.
Unwinding with the ladiezzzz. And when I say unwinding I mean playing Clash of Clans. T___T
Sorry Tweedy. You can't sit with us.
BUT LOOK. WHO. IS. IN. TOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aryn bb!
Farmgirl with no farm
Eating at a vegan biergarten in my neighborhood. (Is that the most LA thing I've ever said?)
Back at home, doing some important surgery/Japanese candy kits.
Aryn made a perfect little strawberry/chocolate creation
Met up with Joe to celebrate his professional successes. Go Jerrrr!
My lady friends, minus Lyssie-san 😦
This place does whiskles, aka pickle shots. I've posted about them before…oh man they are oddly addictive to me.
Gabby makin' mischief in our ever-so-classy FLASH bathroom mirror pic
I MISS having Aryn in town. *sigh*
In other news, look at my tomatoes! There are SEVEN now. Can't wait to taste them!
Had Friday off to cruise over to Lil' Tokyo with Aryn
Found suspicious parking, but hey, it's downtown LA, parking is half the battle.
Lunch in Little Tokyo…I had a turkey burger, not very Japanese.
My damsel gurl
THE REAL VERSION OF THE TINY DONUT SHE MADE THE DAY BEFORE. UNREAL. I was legitimately shocked. I mean, it makes perfect sense. but it was fun and surprising to see that.
My supportive ma haha
Better view of the dress in question
Mike Kelley worked in literally every material/process imaginable.
Through all the show, I very much appreciated what seemed to be a complete willingness to listen, to see, to react in a completely thoughtful way.
Was worried my car would be ticketed or towed, but we were pleased to see an all clear!
Facemasks we bought in Little Tokyo
Then some nose strips. TOTAL spa treatment. Ha
Next thing I know I'm eating chili…
Jungle Cruise? It's Disneyland!
Embodying Tweedy/ewoks
And what might have been the worst cart in downtown Disney
Margie on Matterhorn, on the verge of losing her sunglasses
Thunder Mountain all refurbished and lovely
Watching a child experience the new cars ride (single rider line, heeeey) and just HATING it.
Is it meant to be a huge euphemism?
Oh the great human-manufactured outdoors
Learned to draw Sully at the animation academy
Watch the trainwreck (that is also borderline impressive) stage show of Aladdin. It's weird.
I beat her home, her new place is gorgeous and clean and elegant and white and I feel bad sitting on her cute things.
And a girls hang out sesh. Goodbye Aryn! Was nice to have you in town, even for just a few days.
Much love friends.
