My Week in Photos: March 31 – April 6
Volunteer day downtown, hiking with new peeps, more Japanese snacks, and a week that ended in an amazing, tiring and surprisingly under planned (but well done) road trip! Enjoy! (Poll at the end)
Starting the week in downtown Los Angeles
Monday was Day of Service at work. We had the option to spend the morning and afternoon volunteering. I was with a group who went to Inner City Arts. An oasis of free arts education for underserved LAUSD schools.
There were a few on-site projects, I worked on cleaning out and prepping the garden for new plantings.
WORM POOP. Very elegant.
Their campus is just amazing and inspiring.
There is artwork everywhere with an eclectic, colorful, whimsical touch.
Best succulent planter I’ve ever encountered!
A few of downtown as we headed back in to work.
A recap of the volunteer day with veggies and hummus.

RAINBOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stopped off at the Japanese market
This flavor was recommended to me. He said it was salmon roe. But to me it was a bit more tomato tasting. Anybody know?
(I quite enjoyed them)
Time for my bento! Wish I had this now. Oh man.
Meeting up with a new friend for a quick hike
The hike was definitely more of a running trail. Dodging runners and real athletes constantly.
View from the top isn’t baaaaad. LA is flat, dude. Dude.
To these stringy candies on sticks.
And on Friday I left on a special adventure with Marie! *special*
One of many landscapes we passed through
I’ll keep most of these in this update ambiguous – to save the wonder and awe of the natural world for it’s own!

Finally back to LA! First things first…soup dumplings.
Now the real question…how much of our 3 day road trip do you really care about/want to see?
