My work week featured Gabby, hand pies, a day at the Getty Villa, and a slip and fall that left me with a stupid bruise that I thought *might* prevent me from ski lessons. But I made it to Park City, Utah, conquered a blue run, spent time with Zach’s family, and we made it back to Los Angeles after a 12-hour road trip. Beautiful food and landscapes along the way.

With the apartment to myself, I find myself surprisingly productive. I spend time cooking, cleaning, working, and dancing in my kitchen (yes I totally did that like a cheesy movie montage).

A rainy few days in Los Angeles (plus a rainbow at the end of it all!), a few too many nights alone with my puzzle (and I forgot to include a finished picture of it, rats), two freelance photography jobs to fill my long weekend, and seeing friends both who have returned from New York recently.

This is day 2 of 20 days in Southeast Asia. Zach and I explore the historical city center of Bangkok to see the giant Reclining Buddha in person, encounter the public visitation to the royal urn honoring King Bhumibol Adulyadej, climb up Wat Arun, experience two very different museums (one with dead bodies, the other with Thai artifacts) and eat a very delicious fried noodle dish.

Woke up in a hotel room in Anaheim and fell asleep in my childhood bedroom. In between, we celebrated my dad’s birthday out to dinner, I popped by a gallery to see a one-night only show, reunited with some friends who were living abroad, and finished Mindhunter *woo*.

Celebrating Japanese New Year, going back into work, celebrating James’ birthday with very fancy Italian meats, cheeses, and pastas, doodling for dollars, and spending the weekend with friends at a hidden arts district distillery and at Disneyland.

Christmas day has arrived. Spending a week with my family at home, on our annual wine-tasting trip to Paso Robles area, and preparing for a New Years Eve gathering at Kiki’s. Aryn comes down to visit and Tubby is happy. Welcome, 2018!

The last week at work before the holiday break. A gift-exchange with my Dungeons and Dragons friends ends with digging for gems. I fly out to North Carolina to bring gifts and visit Zach’s sister’s beautiful farm and all her little sheep before heading back home to celebrate Christmas with my family.
