MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: JULY 1–7, 2019!
Celebrating the 4th of July with family, and then spending the weekend with Rachel and Stu celebrating their upcoming wedding in the mountains up in the Bay area.
Enjoy!
Monday at pottery—glazing a lot of very wonky pieces from my rough patch in pottery studio. Had a few (more than a few) off weeks and all those pieces are finally in their final state. Been putting off glazing them…but now it is time.
Hard to leave the house when they look this goobery
Tristan gathered some co-workers to work on some Josef Albers paper exercises that you can download and try yourself on the Getty’s Bauhaus online exhibition website.
I’m still on dog duty while Zach is out of town, and boyo these boys are cute.
Roasted veggie bowl, attempt at being good to myself
Selina works with me now! So happy to have another friend at work.
Headed back home to be with my family on 4th of July, first thing I saw was a line of horses. Guess the parade ended.
Murphy finding himself more and more at home.
Go Dad, he’s been working really hard getting all the walls cleaned and painted.
Went with my mom to the Korean market
And then came home to watch Ponyo
With family for 4th of July potluck.
Party moved from outdoor to indoor
Hot coffee on the bed while everybody runs about? I’ll take the risk.
And suddenly it was night, time for fireworks
Everybody getting their chairs ready
Got in position on the sidewalk ready for the show
Happy 4th, do better America! 🙂
Got home and poor Tweedy was hiding. This is our first 4th of July in this new place and turns out the neighborhood goes pretty all out on the fireworks and the pups were scared.
Good morning! I’m all packed. Off to spend the weekend in the Bay Area with Rachel and Stu and many of their friends for a joint Bachelor/ette weekend.
Kristen modeling the impressive Costco fridge run in the airbnb.
Wandering around and exploring everything. This place is HUGE.
Beautiful views of Mill Valley
Dinner, surprise hats, and surprise cake
Beautiful morning coffee out on the deck, then cracking mad eggs for scrambles in the kitchen.
The hike started off downhill and shady (a bad sign that I should have seen coming only walking downhill…)
It was much harder to hike back out, but we managed to survive
Got back to the airbnb and everybody vanished for a shower
Some margaritas were made, and dinner hit the grill again
Game of salad bowl into the night
Women’s World Cup finals in the morning
Slurping oysters before heading back toward the city
Back to Rachel’s place to hang with Theo and see how impressive all his tricks are.
Dog park before I fly back to LA

A question that you may or may not feel inclined to answer? So! Let’s do it. I invite you to answer in the comments:
Have you been to a Bachelor/Bachelorette party? What was it like?

Much love friends.
No, never. I’m getting married next year and we are thinking of doing a joint weekend hangout like your friends did, rather than separate stag and hen dos. It sounds like a lot more fun to just gather all our friends in one place!

Congrats, btw! I thought the joint hangout was a great idea. They invited other friends nearby who aren’t in the bridal party but who they wanted to join the weekend and I think all in all it was a lot of fun to meet everybody and relax together.
