MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: DECEMBER 10–16, 2018!
So many holiday parties! A Disney day with Kiki, a party for Zach’s birthday, and forcing my friends to take stuff away from me.
Enjoy!
Monday night we had our annual Getty-wide holiday party that was kicked off by the most beautiful pink and purple sunset.
We raced upstairs from our underground office when we got word the sky was doing some magical things.
Amazingly from the top floor we could see down four floors. Hi Isabel!
I was already in the food line when Zach was parking so I loaded up on food for the two of us. I got a lot of compliments on my food stacking skills.
Tuesday evening, changed into my acupuncture clothes after working out.
Post-puncturing! I fell asleep…
Got home where pho was waiting for me
Wednesday was our department-wide holiday lunch complete with Secret Santa. Sadly, I had to leave early before the exchange but I did get my gift later.
Got my gift later: a travel fan diffuser. I’ll bring it to my new desk in the new year.
Dressed like a secret agent to go out for birthday drinks with Zeen.
The Wolves, definitely go if you like a special cocktail. Priced as fancy cocktails for sure. But really a fun treat.
The seafood pasta was really good too
Getty cube trees are looking nice and orange
Holiday work party, this time with a white elephant. I came away with Exploding Kittens the game. My coworker got these fab slippers.
Resuming advent calendar goodies!
It’s finally time to bust out the 12 Days of Socks advent calendar I got back in November.
Today is Friday, it’s a Disney day that Kiki and I picked out a few weeks back.
It’s a gloomy day, which I looooove and makes it actually feel a little more festive.
Zach is there too you just can’t see him behind the camera aha.
I’m a sucker for the yellow trees
Still love the concept of these ears. They certainly aren’t the most flattering.
We decided on sharing lobster rolls for our first meal and had to loiter outside the restaurant for a bit while they opened.
Lobster roll and lobster nachos.
A sick Mandy joined us for a little bit. We rode Indiana together.
Trying out some fizzy drinks at Lamplight Lounge
Delighted by her mimosa flight
Waiting in line for my dill pickle popcorn
We happened to be there as they put on all the lights on the main street in Cars land. Very cute.
Mike’s legs kill meeee ahah, and shoutout to the girl dressed as Pocahontas.
Cotton candy in a grape and lemonade slushie
Kiki’s first go on the Incredi-coaster
Fake snow in front of It’s a Small World
We went back to the parking lot and watched the fireworks from there.
My day 2 socks from my “12 Days of Socks” advent calendar
Unpacking a few boxes delivered for Zach’s birthday party.
Zach worked on getting these lovely shelves up (thanks to my parent’s neighbor for the shelves!)
Unpacking and hiding the pinata.
Our final cookbook shoot of the year with amwa.
Made a filipino dish complete with this little cute cup.
Got the holiday card from my cousin so I could see which pics they chose from our shoot! So cute.
Went to see the all-female cast of Julius Caesar put on by Zach’s friend’s Shakespeare company.
Unpacked ingredients that I’ll throw together in the morning and went to bed.
Tweedy’s on some meds and has to take a daily pill. Sufi always stands directly next to him looking concerned.
Put together some green salsa and cilantro chicken tacos in the crockpot. Should be ready in six hours…
My herbs have been growing! Except for my sad chives. I’m sad about my chives. Was looking forward to you, chives.
Tweedy sits. Tweedy lays down.
Ice bag from the advent calendar
Cleaned up as much as possible before some friends came over.
All my extra kitchen stuff ready to sit out for my “mandatory yard sale” ahah. I told friends coming over they all had to come look at my free items and take something. These are all extra items that were handed down to us when we moved into the bigger space. But we didn’t really need so much! So I wanted to pass stuff along to friends before donating the rest.
Busting out my weird green romper I thrifted in Austin
Slowly convincing people to go out to my yard sale. I’m so fun at parties.
So let’s get this Zach-themed shark pinata going.
This makes it look like Zach bust open the pinata, he did not!
Sponch, the perfect thing to hold up the birthday candles.
Some cookie artists in the house.
Tacos were eaten around 3, pizza was ordered around 8.
Then the house was quiet again, not too much mess leftover! *Woo*

Some questions that you may or may not feel inclined to answer? I have let this slip for a few weeks, but I always love reading your answers. So! Let’s do it. I invite you to answer in the comments:
- What are you watching? Holidays are coming and I’ll have some relaxing time, so what should I watch?
- Favorite seasonal treat this time of year?
- What is one thing you want to do before the New Year?

I’ve been catching up on the Great British Baking Show on Netflix. But I need mooore. And I’ll have some energy to watch some more serious quality content, not just calming British shows. - Favorite seasonal treat this time of year?
Gingerbread, but not too sweet. - What is one thing you want to do before the New Year?
Paint something! It’s been forever.

Thanks for reading! I’m finally caught up in my weekly photo posts. I hope you have a great Christmas (if you celebrate) and that you enjoy some relaxation…some good food…good company, etc. etc.
Much love friends.
I am so behind on your posts, but I finally caught up! I’m behind in my own blog, too. Sigh.
I’m in love with your new place! Did y’all get a house, or a new apartment? It looks so much more spacious, does it feel that way, too? How do the pups love it?
Questions!
1. Aside from the annual films, I’ve been marathoning Holiday Baking Championship, and the new holiday season of Nailed It! with Nicole Byer. It’s my new everything.
2. Gingerbread is my go to holiday flavor so anything with that.
3. Honestly, a new FT job so I can move back out on my own. I had a phone interview, and then an in person interview Wednesday of last week. They said I’d know by the end of the week (so like, tomorrow). Hashtag positive vibes and thoughts and prayers and all that good mojo you subscribe to that I get it. Sigh.
Hope all is well with you!

It’s a house which is crazy we get to live here. It’s wild to have room(s) multiple ones! We feel lucky to be able to live here!!! Pups love it! Except they keep peeing on the rugs…
Good luck and sending you good vibes for the potential new job!!!

In terms of actual Christmas films, the straight to DVD Beauty & The Beast sequel “Belle’s Enchanted Christmas” is always a winner in our house. Has been since I was kid.
– Favorite seasonal treat this time of year?
All the good sides you get with Christmas dinner like pigs in blankets, bread sauce, parsnips etc
– What is one thing you want to do before the New Year?
Finish remodeling my bathroom!

I had a hawaiian student from whom I would buy spam musubi all the time. I love it so much haha. I love your flat, it’s so unique and so yours!

– I watch the Christmas specials of murder mystery shows; they’re usually pretty fun.
Favorite seasonal treat this time of year?
– My mum is German, so all the German treats, like lebkuchen, domino steine, spekuloos. It reminds me of home and is so comforting.
What is one thing you want to do before the New Year?
– I’m not sure! I’m going to actually have a birthday party which I haven’t had in years, so there is that.
