MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: SEPTEMBER 18–24, 2017!
A big work project kicks off, a preview of a few of the Getty PST shows, a peek into my Forged in Fire obsession, Rachel and Stu visit from San Francisco, Disneyland, dealing with Sufi’s back problems, and the Los Angeles County Fair. Yes, there is fried food.
Enjoy!
Pacific Standard Time has officially started—80+ exhibitions around Southern California featuring Latin American and Latinx artists.
The best leftovers are your mom’s leftovers
PST opening — free food! I made a careful food sculpture.
Fancy lights for the opening for staff
Seriously an awesome show featuring awesome loans from Peru, Colombia, Mexico…
Tristy came over to started Season 2 of Game of Thrones
More leftovers and I’m not complaining
My tevas arrived as my practical trip shoes. They seem small, but I think that’s just what shoes look like when they fit my feet.
Anybody watch Forged in Fire out there?
In town for a few days (hi Marie if you’re reading this)
Setting up the air mattress for my special guests
Here for Halloween Time with Rachel and Stu. Stu hasn’t been to Disneyland since he was a small child.
Mac and cheese with hot cheetos on top and chili con queso
Rachel’s first Radiator Springs
Over to Disneyland, pumpkins everywhere!
Zach sassed the Queen of Hearts so told him off with his head
A few more rides, a few more snacks. Including this creamsicle beignet.
Ahh visiting a real elephant sanctuary soon can’t wait
Zach unaware and looking around at the ride
Halloween haunted mansion means Nightmare Before Christmas
Unfortunately also means like an 80 minute wait
Buffalo ranch and dill pickle popcorns
Sourdough bread bowls and clam chowder
Saturday morning, took Stu and Rachel for donuts including this creme brulee one with a little squeezy tube of liquor
Took the dogs to our first Dungeons and Dragons reunion meet up
Pablo the patio cat and the magical gem dice
Took a break from the game to get the vet appointment we were able to get for Sufi. Poor baby. He’s having some back problems.
Had to send this chubby cat chart to my mom
Reflecting on his injury. He’s on strict bed rest now.
Baby Sufi. So sad to hear him in pain.
Sufi’s new little kennel to keep him from jumping and running around and crawling under the couch to keep his back healing.
LA County Fair…obviously had to try the hot cheeto items.
Hot cheeto pizza and hot cheeto corndog
We are so dazzled by the fair food
Not sure why this was at the fair but it was pretty delightful
Feeding a cow is amazing, their tongues are sooooo biiiig
Literally the largest hot tub I’ve ever seen. Never even imagined one could be so big.
We were there for like 5 hours somehow ahah and walked around so much.
Fried cookie dough and fried oreo
Purple mountains in the Pomona atmosphere
Much love friends.
I am so intrigued by this hot cheeto corndog business. Also, insanely jealous of anyone who is in driving distance of Disneyworld/land, especially around Halloween.

The best part about the corndog is the hot cheetos were glued to the corndog with melted cheese ahah.
