Because I’ve been ignoring them and binge watching The Handmaid’s Tale (thanks for the rec, Marie) and I’m 100% obsessed. Finished it over the weekend…arghfdsajfldsa so into it. (if you haven’t seen the show…cw: rape, abuse, violence)

I really loved the show…have you watched? Did you like? I’ve been avoiding reading more about it, still processing it. I thought it was the perfect balance of “fantasy” (too much like our reality eek), a genuine care and focus on telling the story of female friendships and the will to survive, and had SUBTLE dialogue, acting, and slow storytelling. All things I like. As you can tell…ok ok

Father’s Day outing to San Pedro, visited a little winery to pick out some wine.

My dad wanted to visit the USS Iowa, and heyo it’s Father’s Day weekend. Let’s do it.

David Walker of Firestone Walker was there for a Father’s day special where a raffle winner got to open kegs (we were in the splash zone but got some spray pics ahah)

Finished the weekend with the finale of Handmaid’s Tale, delivery Indian food, and attempting to start The Keepers. Lazy Sunday.
