MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: MAY 1–7, 2017!
Work field trips to Facebook and the Getty Villa, picking out and breaking in my new griddle, checking out the Jimmie Durham show at the Hammer, and the best way to end the week—a session of Dungeons and Dragons.
Enjoy!
Was so excited to see watermelon at my grocery store that I scooped one up. It wasn’t totally ripe, but I’m still happy to have watermelon back for summer.
I only want to be wearing this cat shirt. Every day.
Feeling very Waldo in this shirt and top bun.
Meeting a friend for dinner after my birthday at Father’s Office
Morning breakfast was going well but then I shattered glass on the floor haha
Getty Villa Waldo on the road with camera gear
Shooting some behind the scenes today
The Villa was closed so I was just wandering for a bit taking some photos.
Mixed up some more Frankenstein salsa
Forcing Tweedy to hang out with me in my workroom
Doing grill research—been eyeing a griddle/grill versatile combo that I can use for Korean/Japanese BBQ, shallow soups, breakfast, burgers, etc. So many products at there!
More watercolor practice, this time axolotls
Leaving my house early, seeing one of the neighborhood kitties
Back to my favorite place, the dentist!
This mysterious “installation” of sorts was going on in the lobby. Seriously thought “oh…did my dentist get an artist in residence?”
Successful cleaning, got my lil’ goodie bag and headed into work
Such a beautiful atmospheric afternoon. The jasmine is blooming on campus and it smells SO good.
Work field trip to the Los Angeles Facebook campus.
There’s an in-house screen-printing shop
The conference rooms are named after Los Angeles landmarks…we made the cut!
Met up with coworkers for a happy hour in Westwood
Treated myself to an evening at-home mask
Look what arrived! Decided on the Zojirushi griddle and a multi-cooker shabu shabu and grill pot. Both are on Amazon!
Went out to see the new Guardians of the Galaxy II. Mantis! ❤
First grill attempt! I documented this whole day if you wanted to check that out.
A visit to the Hammer Museum to see the final weekend of the Jimmie Durham show.
Overload, but I really loved the Jimmie Durham show. Sad, devastating, thoughtful, funny—and some pieces critiquing the history of collecting and museums.
Noticed it was free comic book day at a place I drive past near my neighborhood, popped over and got a bunch of goodies.
That night we had another D&D meet up and started the night with a grill session
The attempted kimchi fried rice after all the grilling was much better than Saturday’s
Peanut wiggling to get out of the photo
Exploring a haunted tomb tonight
I’ll leave it there with Peanut and James.
That was the week!
Much love friends!

Ahhhhh!! That Quinoa Salad! I really love all your healthy food choices ❤
Also, that Jimmie Durham show is great, thanks for sharing! I totally crossed my eyes and closed my left eye at the same time to see if my nose would look like that ahahaha

The quinoa salad is easy to make but I just need to be better about not mixing in the dressing (lemon, olive oil, balsamic vinegar) at once because by the end of the week it gets a lil’ mushy.
I did the same! 🙂
