MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: JULY 11-17, 2016!
PokemonGo takes over the world, a work day at the Getty Villa, sushi and halo halo, more jewelry work, and a weekend that seemed very LA to me including art happenings, an outdoor movie screening, a visit to THE BEACH…
Enjoy!
First things first…there are a bunch of pokestops at work. *Yessss*
Wearing new shoes I bought online. New shoooes!
My eczema has calmed a bit, but pimples in weird places have taken their turn now.
As social media managers we had some important work to do…
See? Very important work.
Checking out a the the supermarket, Zach has a peach and is playing PokemonGo.
Also marinating some veggies to make fajitas.
Underground Villa yellow walls.
Big fancy “taco salad” for lunch
Swimsuit top that finally feels supportive, covers enough, and isn’t boring.
Clearly playing Pokemon Go near this dumpster in this alley. Always play with a buddy.
We’ve always talked about getting halo halo here and finally we made it! So delicious.
Folks from the Silk Road Ensemble doing a pop-up performance at work
Tristan and I scopin’ wifi and access to Pokestops for a staff Pokemon Go meet up we’re planning for next week.
Out to hear La Bamba and his band
Such a fun energetic show. Watchin’ cute old couples dancing…
Gecko is more energetic at night, I like to let him crawl around in the evenings.
Editing Joe’s school picture day pic from this year trying to match it with one from two years ago.
Working on jewelry editing, almost done!
While we watch CASTLE HUNTERS. Which is seriously like a parody or SNL skit of HGTV shows. Literally people looking for castles. So silly. But I did learn that for a 2 bedroom house in LA…(over $1 million often times) you could buy a whole castle in Ireland.
Marie helping me finish up some more reshoots
Marie styled me and sent me off to work.
Documenting Friday Flights, an occasional happenings series at the Getty.
And friends came to check it out!!! 🙂
Shin Sen Gumi after work – my go to ramen additions. Corn. Fried Onion. Spicy Miso. Egg.
And a few games until after midnight.
The next morning met up with Rachel and her boyf StuStu to hike.
We went out to Malibu to do Escondido Falls…a beautiful hike, but everytime I go there is less and less and less water. This time it was totally dry and sad. GLOBAL WARMING IS REAL!!!
And after went to Neptune’s Net! A treat when you are up the coast.
Got all the sauces I could imagine needing.
CALAMARI…FISH…FRIES…FISH TACOS.
Drooling looking back at these now.
Since we were up in Malibu, might as well check out one of my favorite beaches.
Kicking off those hiking shoes
Everybody brings picnics and lawn chairs and they do outdoor movie screenings in the summer. Don’t worry, we aren’t sitting on graves…we sit on a big open lawn space in the cemetery.
Trying to cut salami with a plastic knife
Tonight? Double feature of Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Vol. 2
The next morning…my final push editing photos.
The final day of our radio storytelling class and we’re at the KCRW studios.
And then recording our stories. Go Tristan!
I did it! I was so nervous. It’s intimidating to wear the headphones and hear your voice so clearly in your own head.
A beer to celebrate the completion of our class! And for conquering our fear of public speaking. Go team.
Much love friends!
