MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: MARCH 20-26, 2016!
My friend Hanna stays with us through Thursday morning, we take on the bowling alley, I make a lot of deviled eggs for Easter, see my little cousins, spend family time at the race track, and of course try every measure possible to heal my face.
Enjoy!
It’s a foggy Monday morning, loving every second of it
Cuz of my face eczema issues, I never really make an effort to look/feel cute…but I kinda liked my vibe on Monday.
Hanna brought me these cute little containers from the bookshop she works at in Germany. They are the perfect size for snacks.
The fog cleared out in the afternoon
With Tristan in a conference room I never go in. What’s up with this weird old school TV? It reminds me of what they’d wheel out in middle school when you’d get to watch a movie.
Went out to a bar nearby with Hanna after work.
Got home from work and Hanna worked on making us all dinner.
The final product! Two “American sausages” (hotdogs) and mash with peas and carrots. I used to have this book when I was a kid that was about being Hapa called “How My Parents Learned to Eat.” It was a little Hapa girl explaining how her parents met and that how her mom learned how to use a fork and eat “Western” making a little nest with mashed potatoes and peas in the center…and how the dad learned to use chopsticks. And then how some days they eat with forks and somedays with chopsticks…but this plate totally brings me back to that.
Helped Zach film some video audition footage. Looking like a goober
Soaked up the sun while I went down into my dungeon to work.
Cheeeeeese from a work event that I got to take home.
Meeting at Kiki’s before dinner
And after…Daiso! With these cute ass cups
Kiki and her new shower slippers
Karaoke. For THREE hours. We really went for it.
Next day at work, my cheek is feeling aggravated. Had to put some Neosporin on it (hence the shiny shiny)
Making up for it with my Lil’ Bub socks
One of my favorite walls on the basement level where I work
Great series of photos texted to me of Parker, a pup I got to pup-sit over the weekend
Journey to pick up ramen from a new place that opened up nearby.
The egg was REAL good. So much better than the closest ramen place to me. Happy to have a real option!
Was washing the curtains so of course all three dogs were at attention at the window
I’m dressed for yoga baby with my mat…trying to heal my face by de-stressing in all ways.
Picked up some things at CVS to make baths. And for protecting my cheeks.
My lil’ cousin went to a sleep away camp for 5 days, I sent him this iphone…eheeh.
Using my honey patches, feeling like a real goober.
Should I go outside like this?
My gross stove and boiled eggs
Boiled AND peeled. Preppin’ for making deviled eggs.
Being annoying at the bowling alley.
The next morning I rushed to make my deviled eggs.
Wearing my lil’ flower denim jacket I got at a vintage shop up in Cambria
The finished eggs! They need a little fridge time.
I got to help hide the eggs for the indoor hunt (too much construction out in the yard)
When your face is as full as your heart feels when you’re with your lil’ cousins
On our way into Santa Anita Horse Track
Drawing horses on the stats forms
Looking at the horses…who to bet on?
How my family does Easter…at the horse races…
Hire her to place bets for you. Her guesses were all pretty good…almost too good. I asked her if she had a psychic connection with the horses. She didn’t know what that meant.
Lil’ one totally disinterested in everything
Easter Japanese meal out with the family
My cousin sells this brand, so why not try it out for my face.
Sunday morning, actual Easter (my family usually celebrates a day early)
Went to meet Zach’s friend’s family for a big Cole’s brunch
Then tried to take it easy, rest my skin…cuddle with Tweedy…
Much love friends!
