A crazy week at work waking up with Europe and posting on a new collaborative museum Instagram account…resulting in a cold, a few sick days, lots of Tweedy snuggles…but it was worth it! Plus finished up the mustard dresser drawers! 🙂

Good morning! Another few touch ups on the dresser drawers before starting the morning.

RUN, Tweed, RUN!!

Today is the first day back in the office after the holidays, and The Getty is also taking over an account called @52Museums for the week. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize most of the audience of that account is in Europe, so I had to adjust my posting sched the rest of the week.

*Whew* This @52Museums project is a rotating instagram account that is passed week to week to a new museum (sometimes two museums share a week). This week currently it’s a Russian museum, it’s really fun. Follow along if you wish! The project has museums big and small, of all kinds.

Always a joy to wander around site for photo opportunities.

This week it’s supposed to rain, everybody is talkin’ bout it. So I wanted to capture a sunset before the week of rain to come.

We went up to the 3rd story for a view.

Spent a lot of the day prepping for the next day. I figured I’d have to post around midnight LA time, then 3 or 4 am, 6 am, 8 am, etc…to catch those on a European time zone.

Put the dresser all together!

I think it looks great! The drawers are a little sticky…again, it was a shitty cheap craigslist dresser that smelled of smoke…so I’m okay with how it turned out! No smell! It’s cute enough! Just need to wax the drawers a bit.

A gloomy evening. I’m not feeling so well, I think the funky sleep schedule is messing with me.

Made a batch of ginger mushroom and chicken soup. It’s so yummy and good on the throat.

Left a little early, again wasn’t feeling very well : ( but had to finish prepping material for the next day of 52museums.

Managed to stop by at Zach’s co-worker’s b-day to eat tamales and see Kristen on Friday eve.

Tweedy’s been a good sick buddy

By Saturday, had a full blown head cold and a lil’ fever. Nothing too serious, but took it easy all day. Zeen brought me some hot and sour.

On Sunday after I had finished posting for the last day of @52museums, decided I needed to get some fresh air. If you want to see all that I posted that week, check out our storify here.

We inherited some bikes, and wanted to change out the pedals at the bike shop. We aren’t really…uh…competitive bikers and the racing pedals were a bit intense.

Bringing the dogs out for a nice walk in Venice.

They are opening a Salt & Straw in Venice!! They had a truck out front, of course it was pretty gloomy and I was just getting over a cold but…you have to get Salt & Straw.
