MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: DECEMBER 1 – 8
A rainy week in Los Angeles (finally!) and the best beach house getaway weekend with the best people ever. *Friends* *Guhhh* *Ahhhh* Enjoy!
I stayed over Sunday night at home in South Pas and woke up early to make the familiar commute from Pasadena to the Getty…
Super foggy morning on the way in.
Foggy all day! It is finally winter-like over here in So Cal.
The blue dusky sky is making my pickle shine.
And even more exciting than the fog is the rain!!!!!!!!!
Twas #GivingTuesday. I manned our little donation booth for a few hours.
I feel like I look androgynous with this hat. Boy santa or girl santa? I’m down.
Rainy afternoon! I left to work at home, there was just a horrible drip-drip-dripping noise in our basement office. Like the kind to drive you a bit mad.
Chilling with my pups and enjoying the gloomy evening
From my Insta. (Just can’t embed anymore, it’s too painful!)
I’ve been werkin’ hard to organize a social media meet up at the Getty for the coming weekend. My little “thank you for coming” pins have arrived! They are designed from illuminated manuscripts in the collection.
This is in the Ralph’s “festive” section. I mean. Okay!
Zach doin’ that karaoke thang at Brass Monkey.
Good wallpaper in the classic bathroom shot
And the karaoke place had the best little random snowmen decoration here. So good.
Spent the morning taking some photos with pubs folks of their books
Hot wings for the very important Peter Pan Live
Before! (Dropping the dogs off for a haircut!)
Walkin’ around the neighborhood
There’s Christmas decoration and then there’s scare-the-neighborhood-kids decoration. A+
Thought this was a sculpture of a squirrel. It wasn’t
I get the pups ready to go!!!!!!!!!!! We’re goin’ on a weekend getaway.
I pick up Megan. She becomes a big cushion for the pups for our 2 hour drive to beach city
We stop at Ralph’s for dinner.
We also have a bit of nap time. Peeps won’t arrive for a few hours.
Megan and I got the rad socks going on
Made some Martha Stewart spiked spiced cider
Friends have arrived! We play some Scattergories. Have that cider. I snuggle Aryn who traveled all the way from the Bay.
Oh yeah. That body. We were all up till like 4 am. *Tired* (Though, most peeps did arrive around 11 pm)
Sweetie Meggie always has the best hair, even first thing in the morn
Kiki and Tweedy made eye contact
Beach wandering! And sea glass hunting
I say goodbye to my ladies. My social media meet up is today! I drive back up to Los Angeles.
One of the awesome manuscripts curators gave a preview of her show on Gift-Giving in the Middle Ages!
So cool to see the books this close, no case.
It was a fun experiment. If you’d like to see the afternoon in photos, tweets, and text, here’s a storify.
I journey back down to the beach after the event. I pick up a special cake along the way.
Surprise ZAAAAAAAAAACH! Happy early Birthday!
Check out that nasty turkey cake. (There’s icecream inside)
There’s a caramel coating outside. Nasty looking, but tasty!
Tweedy was in on the surprise this whole time!
Somethin’ intimate happening over there
Party hats looking fly on everybody
Good friends, good people, good party hats
Kiki being the best grillmaster
Everybody taking turns snuggling Tweedy
And everybody being really bad at the dice game aka 7/11.
Sufi finally gets a little attention
After our big eggs/bacon brekkie, it was time for breakfast s’mores.
Burnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnndat
Sunset, friends left. T_____T *Tears flowing*
The sky gave the nicest treat as we closed what was an amazing weekend.
Much love friends.
