MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: OCTOBER 6 – OCTOBER 12
The week leading up to my month in Europe – lots of Getty work (including a chance to talk with Mikiko Hara) and of course eating as much Asian food as I can. Plus snuggling up with Tweedy HARD.
Also realized I made this but never posted…oops!
Left for the Austin Airport at like…5:30 AM. (Which is 3:30 AM Los Angeles time)
Coffee and ginger ale. The flight is about 3 hours, I spent most editing photos and occasionally napping.

Had a CRAY day at work…just wrapping up a bunch of loose ends and scheduling out content in advance so my team doesn't have to deal with empty schedule for the coming weeks. I just wanted to make my absence as low-impact as possible.
And I cleaned my desk which I think is a miracle. Usually it's covered by post-its and papers.
Last time here for a long time!!
But the work day isn't over yet! I journey down to "Little Osaka" aka Sawtelle for an event with Mikiko Hara at Giant Robot's gallery space

Got my book signed! And then sat with Mikiko and a translator for about 15 minutes. It was great! What a pleasure and privilege.
Was very very hungry (didn't eat all day! I worked through lunch) and at this point hadn't been home for like 14 hours. Too exhausted. Gobbled down ramen.

I ordered these two boots so I could choose one to bring on the trip. I needed them to be comfy, easy to tie up, and versatile. The light brown ones were supposed to be black…ooops. But I'm going to return them anyways, I prefer the darker brown. They are much comfier too.
