JULY 29–AUGUST 4, 2019!
A dear friend moves away, I eat out way too much, harvest my small garden, and settle back into routine after my week in Maui.
Enjoy!
Pottery night, these little cups turned out okay and I figured I’d take a stab at adding some handles to them.
Hmm not sure which handle direction to go.
Hooray! They are still cute. Happy with them.
Love a Maui sunburn peel at work
James and Dan have arrived back from their month break before packing up and officially moving states. They are staying over night on their way out.
Heading out to dinner with a beautiful sunset
Pasta and pizza with friends in town
Forcing everybody to take group photos, my speciality. Will miss James and Dan living in LA, but we’ll still be friends from a few states away.
Considering cashing in my glasses prescription to actually get glasses. Not sure yet.
Fig tree leaves are getting huge
Finally tackling unpacking from Maui. I’m terrible at leaving my suitcase around weeks after a trip.
The overripe shishito peppers look so much like fruit by the foot
Reminder to self to drop off my film
Finally cleaning up some cabinets that have just had piles of things sitting in them.
Glad I found these extra chair socks
Sleepy Saturday for Tweedy, Saturday at the movies for us
Checked out the new Alamo Drafthouse downtown, Zach’s dream theater, his local favorite from Austin.
Late night bites near the theater. Skewers and gyoza.
Got a little bit burnt but still good
Heading out for some errands, give the doggos treats first.
Noticed this new little park under the metro.
Rooftop drinks at a way too fancy bar
Thanks for reading!

A question that you may or may not feel inclined to answer? So! Let’s do it. I invite you to answer in the comments:
It’s hard to make friends as an adult. Where and when did you make your newest friend?

Much love friends!
What an interesting week. I’m sure that your friends have found a space that’s perfect for them, and I wish them luck!! We have a Hispanic festival in Augusta and that’s the only time I get to see paletas.
I met my best local friends through work, a decade ago! Since then, I make friends with the people who are friends of friends, because I’m not great at it myself. My very best local friend is also a work friend. I’m sure I’ll make friends when I head to North Macedonia!
