MAY 27–JUNE 2, 2019!

We hike in Laguna, eat Vietnamese food in the OC, and then return to Los Angeles after the weekend in San Diego. Zach and I add a bunch of new plants to our plant family, and finally prep our backyard for summer.

Enjoy!

We stopped to get Vietnamese food at Pho 79 in Garden Grove. Watched James enjoy his Vietnamese coffee, drip drip drip. RIP dairy in my life.

When we got home, we decided to finish installing lights up in the back patio area.

We also decided to get the projector screen we used to have in our apartment bedroom up outside so we could do outdoor movie screenings.

A question that you may or may not feel inclined to answer? So! Let’s do it. I invite you to answer in the comments:

Tea or coffee? (If tea…what’s your favorite kind of tea and way to have it?)

Much love friends.

  1. Coffee for me! Echoing the user above me, love how vivid and bright your photos are. And I love your little garden! I recently bought a few succulents and its been fun nursing them.

  2. Coffee actually makes me very ill so I am a tea drinker. Mostly black teas, my favourite is lapsang souchong and my beloved French breakfast. I also have this licorice-raspberry tea from Sweden and I really love it.

  3. (so random but i’ve followed your lj for YEARS since… you did adiml in high school and on a bored whim this week, i decided to look up your blog again and found you here instead. and i’m so so glad you’re still documenting because you make me consider small details in a different light. i also have been finding so many things to try out while taking a trip to la for a week in august!)

to answer your question, coffee is lovely as a breakfast thing. tea is great as an always any time thing. my favorite kind of tea is oolong. milk oolong is delicious and has an interesting body to it. i usually drink it without milk. but when i get boba, i love peach oolong or roasted milk tea! lightly sweetened. i also enjoy earl grey with almond milk.

    1. Hi hi sorry for my really late reply. HI! 🙂

I haven’t really tried too much oolong tea, I gotta get on that train!

What’s on your LA itinerary so far? I love hearing a visitor’s perspective on this city. Enjoy your trip!
