MAY 27–JUNE 2, 2019!
We hike in Laguna, eat Vietnamese food in the OC, and then return to Los Angeles after the weekend in San Diego. Zach and I add a bunch of new plants to our plant family, and finally prep our backyard for summer.
Enjoy!
It’s Memorial Day, we’re still all on our friends weekend away
El Moro Canyon Loop trail
The trail goes out toward the mountains with a nice view then down through the valley and out toward the ocean.
Love being in hiking clothes on the beach haha
Back on the road towards Orange County
We stopped to get Vietnamese food at Pho 79 in Garden Grove. Watched James enjoy his Vietnamese coffee, drip drip drip. RIP dairy in my life.
When we got home, we decided to finish installing lights up in the back patio area.
We also decided to get the projector screen we used to have in our apartment bedroom up outside so we could do outdoor movie screenings.
Half the lights went up, we ran out…
Tuesday night, Zach’s hamburger salad
Then later that week my mom and I went to see John Wick 3, and got some Panda Express beforehand.
Whoops, went overboard at the nursery.
We were right across the street so why not pick up some dinner for later.
We could get up and do something, but we’re tiiiiired
Wild that 8 or 9 months ago I had clear skin…also wild that I’ve been fighting my skin for 8 or 9 months…
Wish Sufi would come on my run with me
Exploring the half in half out life
A lavender iced tea latte with soy milk WOW luxurious
I always have to do the duvet cover…
Surveying the plants before journeying out to repot the new babies.
Waiting for a table and then we saw a literal man walking a goat so that’s cool. Didn’t get to pet him though 😦
Umami Burger time
We made it to the dome! (We saw the new Godzilla)
I cut some watermelon and then I was determined to finally finish this super hard Haunted Mansion puzzle once and for all.
Soooo close. Tweedy did nothing.
We actually managed to go grocery shopping.
And then finished hanging our lights. The patio is ready for a screening!
Thanks for reading!

Coffee actually makes me very ill so I am a tea drinker. Mostly black teas, my favourite is lapsang souchong and my beloved French breakfast. I also have this licorice-raspberry tea from Sweden and I really love it.

(so random but i’ve followed your lj for YEARS since… you did adiml in high school and on a bored whim this week, i decided to look up your blog again and found you here instead. and i’m so so glad you’re still documenting because you make me consider small details in a different light. i also have been finding so many things to try out while taking a trip to la for a week in august!)
to answer your question, coffee is lovely as a breakfast thing. tea is great as an always any time thing. my favorite kind of tea is oolong. milk oolong is delicious and has an interesting body to it. i usually drink it without milk. but when i get boba, i love peach oolong or roasted milk tea! lightly sweetened. i also enjoy earl grey with almond milk.

Hi hi sorry for my really late reply. HI! 🙂
I haven’t really tried too much oolong tea, I gotta get on that train!
What’s on your LA itinerary so far? I love hearing a visitor’s perspective on this city. Enjoy your trip!
