MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: APRIL 8–14, 2019!
Cooking and gardening and hunting for records. Plus visiting Monsterpalooza, a monster makeup convention, and buying prints and zines at the Los Angeles Art Book fair.
Enjoy!
Going to the Villa today, so did a little work with some leftovers in the morning.
Photographed my new goodies from pottery in the light, including the three biggest bowls I’ve ever made. Tragically, didn’t love how they came out. Plus had some unforeseen cracking issues.
Gross looking leftovers, but dang pretty good
Sufi keeps finding his way into my sock bin.
New pants that are soooo comfortable. It almost felt like borderline pajamas.
Cooking dinner, a chicken chowder
Came out better than I expected! That was my first time making a soup in the blender
Mandy recreating Souvla with the baklava and ice cream with a Postmates combination
Kiki gave me this jacket and I’m not cool enough to wear it but I’m trying
Dinner with Marie, who has been proudly obsessed with ramyun which I respect
Going outside woo it’s the weekend
MY TINY EGGPLANT! I GREW THAT!
Zach invited me to a Monsterpalooza back in college and I regret never going because wow this was a monster/special effects makeup convention
I don’t have description for you, just enjoy
Makeup application demonstrations at every turn
Walked from the Pasadena Convention Center to try out a new Korean bbq place
No shame, it was a community day. Good excuse to walk around.
Tried to go to the Pacific Asia Museum, but whoops it was closing. So we just popped into the garden.
It was also Record Store Day and Zach has been on a record collecting journey like the true 70 year old man he is
Swinging by a garden store to pick up some terracotta pots
Wandering around, checking out the houseplant selection.
Now I have pots to put them in woo!
I got a few prints, pretty happy with myself
Cooking dinner together with Andrea and Gabby
Green curry with a side of Game of Thrones premiere!

I was just talking last night at dinner about trying marionette puppeteering hah, I just love this theater company in LA and I love the mystical weird charming quality of their puppeteering…

Much love friends.
That monsterpalooza looked really creepy! But I do love the prints you found at the art fair.
I want to try archery! Ever since I got tickets to it at the London Olympics I’ve been wanting to take lessons.
