MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: MARCH 25–31, 2019!
Battling uphill against my skin, obsessing over my tomato plant, and most importantly—meeting my parents new kitty!
Enjoy!
This week starts on Tuesday because Monday was an early morning flight back from Tucson, then straight into a work day, and straight into pottery. But Tuesday morning I prepped for the day by bringing a bunch of boardgames to work.
Later that evening, we had a game night at my coworkers house complete with cocktails and butter chicken yum.
Washed out my new items from pottery.
Some clearer pics in the daylight of my newest pieces. Weirdly, these two mugs are the same glaze and the same clay…but look so different.
I always think I want earthy looking things but then I see a brown glaze and…meh.
Amazingly there are flowers on the eggplant that is generally unhappy sigh
Shishitos and buffalo chicken wings

Day at the Villa means leaving a little later and being a little lazier in the AM
Here for some research, but still brought the camera
From the beach, to downtown. That was quite a drive…
Met my parents downtown to meet with in town family
Stopped for a sake flight
Saturday morning, doing nothing in the kitchen
Starting a new medicine for one month, an attempt to see if my skin is dealing with a type of rosacea. Sigh. Acne. Please.
The tomato plant is finally transplanted into the bin with the other tomato
He always has to sit on the places he shouldn’t
Wow is it the birk time of year
My parents are painting their walls almost the same color as the it already is. Gotta respect that.
Then to the animal shelter!!!!! My parents have been hinting they are ready for another cat (Snow still never returned…still hoping though) and I’m definitely here for the ride.
After visiting the dog area, came back and my dad was talking with an adoption facilitator and was touching a cat.
WELL! They picked out a new baby! We got him a toy, and I got some groceries, and then we took the boyo home.
Got back to the car with my groceries and my dad was sitting with Murphy WITHOUT THE BOX.
Murphy adjusted in the front room while my mom prepped some dinner
Pork and noodles and fish sauce yessss
Home cracking a cider to hang with the pups.
Much love friends.
I hope your meds work out, and yay new kitty! Adorbs.

1. Sorry about your acne. Adult acne sucks. Every time mine flares up I feel like I’m a teenager again and I don’t need to relive that. lol. I hope this new step works for you.
2. Your food looks delicious. Always.
3. Let me know if you ever need help with gardening stuff! I don’t like giving unsolicited advice. But if you need help, I’m happy to try!
4. So glad to hear about your parents’ new cat. My outdoor baby completely disappeared a month ago. 😦

I’m so behind on your blog posts, sorry to hear about Snow’s disappearance. New kitty is adorable though! Good luck with your new skin regiment, skin stuff is so difficult. 😦 I struggle with rashes though they are “fortunately” on my torso/hands.

(SORRY for such a late reply) Thank you for your comment! Skin stuff is so weird because it seems relatively minor compared to all kinds of other health things one could struggle with, but it’s so obvious and irritating to you because it’s your external self…it’s tricky.

First of all: WHERE ARE YOU!? ahahaha. I’m missing my weekly catch up with your posts!
Also sorry to hear your skin is still being a pain. I’m 29 and have just started to get bacne, which is perfect! Good luck with your new products!
Finally: I have coeliac disease so am doomed to a lifelong gluten free diet, so I’m your woman if you ever need tips. Gluten is so ubiquitous and hard to avoid, it’s insane.

Sorry it’s taken me so long to respond (and to update hah). I’ve been off my game a bit, but trying to get back!
Oh man, gluten free life in this gluten-loving world must be a challenge. I’ve accepted that I’m more gluten-lite because it’s so hard to trace exactly what things will have surprise gluten!
