MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: FEBRUARY 5–11, 2018!

A cloudy start to the week leads into a few sick days at home. I conquer my cold and am determined to see Lunar New Year celebrations at Disneyland before retreating into total Winter Olympics 2018 obsession.

Enjoy!

Untitled
The gym at work was supposed to be closed for a few weeks, so I ordered a new gym bag online to replace my old camp backpack (that I’ve loved and had for approximately 10 years…) and it’s smaller but cuter and I’m still learning how to pack it.

I looked over and Zach literally had Tweedy sleeping on his stomach and was googling baby shih tzu pictures.

Tuesday. Weirdly cloudy. The Getty is somewhere in that cloud.

I actually went home from work early because I was feeling feverish, headache, achy, and scared that I was coming down with the flu that people at work were all getting sick from. Kindly, Zach had to go to a rehearsal but snuck in an order of food that included veggies to heal me ahah.

Untitled
I was talking to friends last week about how I randomly felt like watching Casper and really wished I could find it. Thankfully it found ME as I was scrolling through Netflix feeling sick. Guys…it holds up.

Untitled
Wednesday! Stayed home from work…slept and medicated and slept more and then had some eggs on toast!

Afternoon, lots of sleeping…very sweaty…why not some iced coffee and Tweedy snuggling.

The noodles stole all my soup 😦

The 2018 Winter Olympics started! Tweedy watched over my shoulder.

Untitled
Had a true blast watching the Olympics…maybe it was me finally feeling more human and less like a foggy mess, or maybe it was the dazzling inspirational athletes of the Olympic games? Either way…yay!

Did you watch the Opening Ceremony? Have you been watching the Olympics? Where are you from! I used to love winter Olympics as a kid and kinda fell on and off watching them. Have had so much fun this year. And Mirai Nagasu on the USA figure skating team skates in Pasadena, basically a hometown gorl.

  1. Omg my doodle appeared in your day!! O_O eeee anyway, it is so adorable and thank you so much for it! I’m going to ask for a teapot and a cup of tea for my next one; is that considered two things, just so I know how to order?

Also, my mother went to the 1972 Olympics in Munich, Germany. I went to the ones in London in 2012.

    1. Loved drawing the boba!!! Thank you so much for your order. A teapot and cup of tea is probably okay as 1 thing if the teapot design isn’t too intricate! 🙂

So cool you went to the London Olympics! What events did you see?

      1. (answering from my wordpress account–i was at work and forgot my password haha)

I saw the archery and dressage events; the archery was cool because it was in walking distance of where I was living. I have friends who live in the Olympic Village flats now!

And I will order the teapot/teacup shortly; i need some art for my tea station! I’m still trying to figure out where to put the boba when I print it.

      2. So cool about the Olympics! And thank you so much for your orders. I can’t wait to paint more! Send me a picture when you’ve figured out what to do with the boba! 🙂

  2. Your food always looks so delicious :3 When I was a youngin we used to buy imported ramen online. (We probably could have gotten it from an Asian market for a quarter of the cost but had no idea at the time.) It was always so much fun to try the other flavors.

We watched the opening ceremony and most of the figure skating. I always wanted to be a figure skater as a little girl but living in Florida killed that dream quickly. We also watched that weird sport where you ski around a track and then shoot targets. It was oddly compelling. It was sad when I realized my nieces and nephews had no interest in the Olympics. I hope future generations realize how important the games are and how amazing it is to see athletes from every country together.

  3. There we go with the Mi Goreng spicy noodles (yaaaas! :D)

I AM SO ADDICTED WITH THE FIGURE SKATING PART OF THE WINTER OLYMPICS! I am really obsessed with Tessa Virtue/Scott Moir (could they end up together please???) and I love Yuzuru Hanyu (did you see how in the men’s short program, they threw him winnie the pooh stuffed toys??? Ahhh I was living for that x) Ajona Savenchko/Bruno Massot’s pair skating program was also fantastic x_x I love it all so much! And of course, good job to Mirai Nagasu! Adam Rippon is such a charmer too.

Did you make the slime on your own?

And, ahhhh, I remember loving Mulan so much as a kid.

    Have a good week, Sarah!

  4. Where’s your new gym bag from?? I like it!

I missed basically all the Winter Olympics thanks to two consecutive nightmare deadlines 😦

Awww Zach. Living his best shih tzu life.

Casper always creeped me out as a kid! Because he’s so into bb Christina Ricci but also he’s a cartoon ghost who doesn’t even look human and is kind of creeping on her all the time. Then again, I was scared of Superman because I thought he might come through my window and steal me because he kept doing that to Lois Lane, so clearly I wasn’t great at interpreting films and tv…

    MINI BUNS

    Send the slime to meeeeeee.

    1. Hiii Rose! Here’s my gym bag: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0797SMZYV/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I am very afraid of ghosts and paranormal stuff, but weirdly I love Casper? Re-watching it is CERTAINLY weird that they have sexualized a small ghost baby but heyo, it’s nostalgic at this point. I never saw Superman but I feel like I might have thought similiar things ahah and you’re just being realistic. That’s super weird he kept doing that to her…
