MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: JULY 25-31, 2016!
The return to Los Angeles from Portland, obsessing over Pokemon Go and Stranger Things, another visit to Harry Potterland, Brand New/Modest Mouse, staying late at work, an opossum rescue story, and Obon!
Enjoy!
Early morning flight from Portland
Kiki was asleep next to me, I played a few rounds of Stone Age on Zach’s iPad and dipped cookies in coffee.
So bright, so sunny. But I have to sit here to battle at one of the Getty’s gyms.
Yeaaaah! That’s my Clefable at the gym.
I missed the pups, took them on a long walk to say “remember me? Love me again!!!”
Started Stranger Things, can’t stop.
So pooped from all the travel, activity, socializing…my introvert energy tank desperately needs refilling.
Taking some promo pics for the upcoming Tumblr AnswerTime we’re doing.
Still working on breaking in my shoes.
Had lunch with Megan who was up the hill for work!
He’s been sitting too close and pushing out the screen…be safe, Tweedy.
Found at Wholefoods! So sweet and yummy…like adult chocolate milk.
Can’t visit Universal City Walk without going to the sock shop
Zach has been watching all the Harry Potter’s with Maria and Rob while Maria has been in town from Vienna. She’s apparently never seen them…the finale was a visit to Universal. Thankfully we had the passes for the year from Universal from when we went earlier in April.
Maria and Rob gifted me a DOBBY!!!!!!!! My fav.
Fish and chips at the Three Broomsticks
Last ride of the day? The Studio Tour…over an hour long. Relaxin’ and the wind is nice on a hot day.
Panda Express before rushing out of there.
Feet a lil’ swollen from all the standing and walking and WHAT THE HECK A TAN LINE FROM MY SANDALS.
We arrive to the Forum, to see the end of Brand New and Modest Mouse
Brand New’s crowd was crazy! So fun to watch. Definitely higher energy than Modest Mouse.
Modest Mouse was a bit disappointing live…
The next day! Our Answer Time! You can see all the answers we went through here. We got over 2,000 questions and go to 75 of them in about 5 hours.
Traveled over to the UCLA cons labs at the Villa…oh students.
Then headed down to Santa Monica, a lot of driving.
Met Miranda and Tristan for happy hour and played Pokemon Go.
Playing Pokemon on the promenade
Pic by Tristy of Miranda and me sniffin’ Lush products.
Sunset overlooking the beach. Sometimes I forgot how close I am to this…
Treating myself to the $5 employee spaghetti deal
And working Friday Flights, posting on the Getty’s Instagram.
Not bad working nights like this.
Then over to a friend’s place in Mid City
Another game night with Code Names
Bye Maria, she’s headed back to Vienna already 😦
Got home and the opossum adventure began
Zach discovered this opossum, too small to be alone…and we had to figure out what to do with it. Cats from the neighborhood were circling it, ready to eat it. It was too small to be alone (according to a random website I looked up). It was like 2 am, I didn’t want to call the numbers on a few opossum rescue people I saw from the SoCal area….so we improvised. Scared away the cats. Gave it water. Put a box around it with water inside so the cats couldn’t get it by morning…and it survived overnight!
Really into reading about my personality type and comparing it to people I know. Curious? Take the quiz here. I’m an INFP…this description pretty spot on.
TENDON. Haven’t had this in so long.
FINALLY GOT A RAMEN COOKING KIT. Saving it for a rainy day.
Stopped at the pet shop for dog treats, and got sucked into looking at kittens
A true friend will run errands with you
New basket for the snacks on the dryer (for when people come over, just up for grabs stuff!)
And a locker shelf to keep bread and stuff above vitamins
Marie comes over and brings clothes so we can zombie-fy them for her short film
First step, shred everything with a serrated knife.
Before and after with Kiki working on a card in the background
So many fabric shreds…*inhales cloth*
Zombiefied clothes…pretty good!
Fabric dye washes off clothes pretty easily
Used my Lush bath melt and took a soothing bath.
So much Snow love. That lion cut is so ridiculous.
Beef teriyaki and wontons on the street
After eating, they get to put the yukatas on!
Much love friends.
