MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: APRIL 11-17, 2016!
Visiting the Japanese American National Museum, flaming margaritas, blustery winds and concerns of my now very annoying eczema problems…plus a seafood dinner with my family!
Enjoy!
After a long week working from downtown during the museum conference I decided to work from home on Monday. This means spoiling the pups a little more than usual.
I can also get back on my homecooking game
A really easy chicken verde recipe – chicken breasts, onions, red pepper, cumin, plus salsa verde PLUS half a beer (I used an anchor steam). Let it slow cook for 7.5 hours…
The pups spend less of the day napping than I suspected. But maybe it’s cuz I’m home throwing off their plots.
Avocado for lunch! Got a bunch of yummy lil’ avocados from my family friend’s tree.
Snacks! And now my chicken is all ready. I shredded the breasts and added them back in! Now it’s ready to eat.
The pups were outside when the doorbell rang (Sufi freaking out)
Both Gabby and ET giving me the eye
Driving with hot cheeto fingers. So glam.
A casual Tuesday evening escape room experience in Tarzana. This time trying “Pirate Bay”…we escaped and set the escape record for biggest but fastest nerds.
Dentist appointment daaaaay. Forgot I was wearing this sweatshirt when I left the house and boy did I pay. “WOW, what an interesting shirt!” “What does it mean?”
A layover trip to my family home to hug the kitties
Decided to have lunch with my little cousins. Then I got the huge honor of walking “Math Girl” to kindergarten. It was superhero day! She chose MATH GIRL. (Are we related?)
The loquat tree is coming in! So exciiited.
My hair is fading weirdly, no surprise.
It got super hot out of nowhere, decided to go downtown to see a photography show I wanted to see.
Photography from BEFORE WW2. I feel like so much of the popular photos, art, and images associated with Japanese artists are WW2 or internment camp related. So it was so refreshing to see works from pre-WW2.
Decided to pop into Popkiller to see how their vintage clothes selection was today.
The hem was messed up, decided not to buy it.
Did get one dress that looked like a painter’s outfit. I’m into that vibe now.
Decided to try a new izakaya place out that opened recently.
Clams with garlic and mushrooms
And then stuck around for a Firestone beer night at Far Bar. We also caught Kobe’s last game on the projectors…lots of screaming. Lots of LA love.
New dress at work. I’m just a bag lady ok
Spicy seafood “pho” in the cafe that day
Who brought all these snacks down to our dungeon? Speaking to my soul.
Ramen before celebrating Marie’s b-day!
Happy Birthday, beautiful Maaaariiiieeeeee!
Suuuper windy day means I’m on the lookout for allergens…
My mom gave this to me…considered wearing it around. My eyebrow hairs are also so sparse these days since there is an eczema patch there…boo.
Home with honey patches on my cheeks
Made a bento box emoji card for Marie
Ordered a coconut at Marie’s b-day dinner. Not ashamed.
Marie’s lovely lady friends and Zach ehehe
Sunday morning…eating pickle chips in bed
Finally brushed my hair around 3
Looking over parent’s vacation plans and Tubby really wants to get involved.
Seafood dinner with the family
My mom busts out some good baby pics.
Goodnight, cruel world. Why must I be so ugly forever?
Disappointing scene in Gilmore Girls. But the worst part of all? WEARING THE ‘OBI’ backwards?!?!?! It looks SO STUPID. Beyond offensive, just silly.
Anyways…will leave it there!
And LOOK are you proud this is actually posted on a Monday! Yay!
Much love friends.
