MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: AUGUST 3 – 9, 2015!
A week of really pumping out of UX Design project about making art museums more accessible, eating mostly soba, poster design, and three days in San Francisco for the Outsidelands music festival.
Enjoy!
Stayed home on Monday, I wasn’t feeling so well.
It was hot and humid, and perfect to make and enjoy some soba.
Tweedy doesn’t look so hot either.
After a morning full of napping, I gathered all the mind strength I had left to tackle my UX Design project.
Drawing things on paper first.
Then translating them to Illustrator files. (Yeah this user flow is a mess, I know I know)
*Dead* On the way to UX Design class.
The next morning, needed to pump out some designs for the next round of Zach’s show.
Maybe not the most creative design. But I added a UFO!
Santa Monica has it’s pretty moments! Not sure why this neighborhood has such a bad vibe in my memory, but it’s kinda pretty sometimes.
This location has so many more resources than where I take my class, look at this cute lil’ courtyard!
Submitting an application using storytelling to define your journey
I was in the area, and I knew Sweetfin Poke was nearby…had to grab some.
Ask Zach to card sort for my UX project
Today’s a User Journey Mapping workshop, I’m very excited
Identifying all the steps of a persona’s journey, including their touch points with us and their thoughts and feelings. Then seeing which are pain areas, and brainstorming how we can fix that root problem.
Love these trees and this view
Little cousins visited me today! Got to show them my office and behind-the-scenes (and hopefully get a few of them to be interested in working in the arts…haha)
I DID IT! 200 visits to the gym fiiiinally
Changed shirts to my Wilco tank.
Quick stop at home to gobble some hot and sour soup
Wilco at the Greek! New album, new poster, it’s all great.
Wore my “Keith Haring as a kindergarten teacher” skirt
Brought some edamame salad into work for a bridal shower
My boss’s beautiful salad and pesto from ingredients in her garden compared to my sad edamame salad.
Blue skies, time to leave them behind and head to SF
Beautiful sunset as we flew off to San Francisco
First things first? Seeing Rachel, and then a late night snack.
Get the bracelet on, let’s do this!
“You look like undercover Yoko Ono.” Thanks, Zach.
We come here every year. It’s close to Lauren’s place, and they have great coffee and peroshkis
Look at that beautiful mushroom peroshki
Walked across the park over to Rachel’s place
Made it to the festival! HI ZULI baby
Cloudy day, but the humidity was a welcome blanket
Dinner time! Fried pickles and beer sausage
Zach is pumped for his 13th Jeff Tweedy show. THIRTEENTH. Yeah.
Way too close for Mumford and Sons. We stayed for the first like…20 minutes, and then decided to get out there. Of course they were headlining, and it was awkward and we got yelled at for leaving the crowd. Mumford just ain’t my cup of tea……
Noticed this on Lauren’s table. Ew.
Walked over to Ton Kiang for some dim sum
Never noticed this church before, I dig it. Big mosaics on the front.
Lauren’s coming to the fest with us today!
Many fun finds on our 25 block walk
Zuli stealing my hat, and ran into Sara as a wookie!
My shitty free hat really getting passed around
High school friends reuniting!!
Seeing Waters again, real fun live
Crowd gathering for Kendrick Lamar
After Saturday’s fest, reunited with Jules who is now living and working in SF!
Walking to get an egg sandwich in the Inner Richmond
Suuuuuper good sandwiches though
Look at that beautiful sandwich
Seeing a live taping of Comedy Bang Bang
In the crowd getting ready for Elton John.
Somebody said that the head looked like Zach in kindergarten
*Sigh* He didn’t sing Can you Feel the Love Tonight. 😦
Another year of Outsidelands is done. *Sad*
Goodbye, San Francisco!
Much love friends.
