MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: SEPTEMBER 1 – 7
Kicking off September with a busy week of visitors from abroad, birthday parties, puppy haircuts, LA tourism and scary faces from me. Enjoy?!
OH hi. Slept like a rock for like 13 hours and then woke up feeling like a giant slug.
Editing some photos from over the last few months
Tweedy, who DO YOU WANT to sit on? Everybody? Forever?
I whipped up these hot links as it was Labor Day. I feel like people are BBQing on Labor Day, but I have no BBQ. Stove top cooked goodies shall suffice.
Hey not a bad spread
Anti-stress face mask. Smells and tastes like blueberries.
I’m still feeling poopy, but am excited to pick up Michael and Megan and head off to the Dodger Game! (Yeah. BASEBALL.)
The view from the stadium is just gorgeous.
Bobbleheads up front
Not bad for $10 tickets. Megan kindly explained the game to me.
Dodger dog! And garlic fries. You guys, the garlic fries. SO garlicky and divine.
Sunset with the mountains in the background, not too shabby
And leaving the stadium was a delight as well! Look at downtown!
Tuesday, back to work after Labor Day. Cafe was serving a buffalo wings salad. Guys, who are we kidding. When does something stop being a salad and start just being protein with a side of lettuce? So. Much. Chicken.
FaceTime with my ma who was babysitting lil’ cousins
Ever since moving to the basement, away from public view, I love working snuggled in my blanket with my Spongebob headphones. Mature.
The sun is starting to set a bit earlier, I guess summer truly is ending.
Do doctors offices all get together and buy from the same weird art websites?
Weds morn I got to wake up and make breakfast before heading into work later than usual.
Here at the Villa to work on some video projects.
I thought there would be people, but it was a randomly closed day.
But turns out it was because they had to get ready for the outdoor theatre production
Got home around 9, so exhausted. Managed to throw together some pasta.
The next morning was completely gray
Having that “buffalo chicken salad” again. And for once in…god, I can’t remember how long, I decided to eat outside away from my desk.
Looking tired, I needed some sunlight.
Also wanted to see the James Ensor show that closed last weekend. It’s been up for months, has been the highlight of summer and I just got around to seeing it. *Shame on me*
Been going to the gym in the evenings, instead of lunch. Not sure how I feel ’bout that
It does mean I get to catch nice sunset
Zach brings us ramen to all share
MMmmMm from one of my favorite places. Robata Jinya!
I am not going to buy Sims 4 just yet. It’s too starter for me, but I did decide to download the free create-a-sim demo. I tried! It’s kind of hard to use, gotta get used to it.
Here’s Kiki. I think I got her eyes pretty good.
My friend Jules is here to visit! Toured him all around LA, starting with beach cities.
A look under the Santa Monica pier aka where you hang out with fishermen
Candy vending machine what the heck!
Flash forward to Echo Park, eating some tacos at Guisados. You must try the melon. mMmMm.
Lil’ Tokyo. Caught looking at Hello Kitty
Been walking since 9 am, time for a margarita.
And then back up again to Griffith Observatory!
Here to watch Zach’s improv showcase with errbody
On the way home, a spontaneous whiskle (pickle/jameson shot). Jules did not like.
Met up with the dudes again in Venice Beach at an adorable bakery.
And then jetted over to meet Gabby for her B-day Dinner!
You can see the full documented day here.
Veronica in the brunch places lil’ garden
Korean BBQ, all you can eat style
And you end with kimchi fried rice!
Looking over the west side/jumping there!
Sunday morn, pups get dropped up at the groomers.
Hit up this little place that serves up a huge breakfast burrito for $6.
Went to the Hammer to catch the last day of Made in L.A.
Photographs made with the installation hanging in the middle
Also caught the exhibit on a family day, lots of screaming children. It was energetic!
And ending the long week with some matzo ball soup from my favorite deli (THAT I FOUND OUT IS CLOSING ARE YOU KIDDING ME).
Sadface.
Anyways.
Much love friends!
