A week of hard work and the weekend helping my mama recover from arm surgery—lots of cats, little cousins, and more cats.

Good morning! I’m up a little early and in “outdoor” clothes. Today is the Getty’s Day of Service—organized by Getty staff to get us out and into the world for a day of volunteering.

Our group went to the Mountains Restoration Trust in the Santa Monica Mountains

We got to work helping with planting of native species and weeding of invasive grasses

Got home from day of service covered in allergens

After Day of Service I left a bit early to shower that rash away—and then got to work on a writing piece for work

Wrapped up work around 9pm, then woke up to start again at 6am, just to wrap up some pieces.

Worked out okay so I could join my dad in the waiting room—my mom had surgery to fix a broken ulna! Her tiny bones…
