MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: APRIL 1–7, 2019!
Visiting Disneyland before Star Wars land opens and the entire flow of the park is changed forever! Plus spending the weekend hanging art finally, spending time with my parents eating and at the art walk, plant shopping, and recipe testing a dish called ‘bai.’
Enjoy!
Tweedy trying to help prep veggies for the soup.
I think the lemon grass was a lil’ old so it made the soup a bit bitter, unfortunately. Oh well, we still ate it all week.
Brought home some little chopstick rests from pottery.
Tristan is a fan of eating lemon and orange peels. I’ve never seen anybody do this until Tristan, but a few people have recently told me they do that too. HAVE YOU?
The stock photos on this pet shop are the worst, but they do have the best surfing animal mural on the side
A little happy hour with coworkers that involved margaritas and lots of chips and salsa
Zach got me these goofy ears that arrived from Tokyo Disney. So cute!
Star Wars land is going to make Disneyland really chaotic, so we wanted to go again before it gets wild.
Eggs and potatoes and bacon for some fuel
Gotta love visiting Storybookland.
BIG DUCKS, tiny trees. What is real.
It’s a really busy day (I think it is Spring break) so we did a few things we wouldn’t normally do, which I love
Cruising around on the Mark Twain riverboat, casually floating by some dioramas (there was a voice on a loudspeaker about things, but couldn’t hear it)
Raspberry and pineapple dole whip and a bao
Tom Sawyer island! This used to be one of my favorite places as a kid. Who doesn’t love scrambling on rocks
Wanted to ride the new carousel, but it broke down right before we got to ride. But they all cute. I like the snake wrapped in a lil coil.
We stopped for a box of chicken and a high five from Buzz
Another beautiful evening in Carsland
Then we rushed to get Zach the milkshake of his dreams
We stayed for the late show of Fantasmic
The entire pirate ship scene and the dragon, always impressive
Steamboat Willie looking a little demonic
The day to fix Salami Davis Jr.
A lot of hot glue later…and he stands!
Finally getting our shit together to hang things. We’ve lived here for like 6 months, it is time to hang art.
Need a few more things on this wall, I think. But room to grow. And NO the two on the left aren’t hung crooked, they are framed crooked 🙂
Went to shoot more photos for Jill at Sake Dojo
James arrived to help eat the food models at Far Bar
Sunday morning, figs are coming in

Tubby and Murf
Open studios, food vendors, drinks
Poking around these beautiful ceramics
Didn’t end up picking anything out, but did get to see a friend from high school and reconnect with his mom 🙂
The struggle of getting everybody home safe
Doggos smelling all the new plants
Recipe testing an amwa recipe for the upcoming cookbook

Thank you for your patience! I hope there’s still a few folks checking back here every once in a while. No excuses except some health stuff dragged me a little down, and I spent all my spare time escaping to Stardew Valley. Feeling happier now!
