MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: MARCH 12–18, 2018! (RETURN FROM ROME, AVOCADOS GALORE)

Back from Italy after a week away and settling back into work—gathering all my animals again and failing against the jetlag. Corned beef with my parents and time recharging.

Enjoy!

I’ve been in Rome, so apologies for lack of posting. I will be sharing the week of Rome in more detailed posts + an itinerary for the week if that is helpful a bit later when I’m fully caught up with life.

Monday and Tuesday of this week I was still in Rome, but I’ll throw in a few pictures because this is a very short weekly photo post but I wanted to get back in the routine.

I was posting a little bit over on my Instagram, so if you’re curious feel free to check out all 21 posts there.

Tuesday! We spent the day in Ostia Antica—or Ancient Ostia, a port city for Ancient Rome.

In a restaurant behind the marble counter, pretty amazing.

Ruining Zach’s selfies in Piazza Navona, home of the Fountains of the Four rivers and usually has a market set up.

Before and after drinks, the view of St. Peter’s Basilica, dome by Michelangelo!

Wednesday morning—our last day in Rome (well, half day because we have to head to the airport). We’ve had coffee at the same bar every morning, sad to go!

Hoping from skeleton-decorated crypt to a cannoli place!

Spent our last few hours overlooking the city from a hilltop park in Trastevere. Can’t wait to share more from the trip (and continue my uploads from Southeast Asia!)

Untitled
Zach ready to fly home. I didn’t take any more pictures, but on the flight I watched 4 movies and ate a bunch of beef jerky because I was too cheap to buy the Norwegian airline food. I watched The Fugitive (1993), Contact (1997), and some newer releases, Wonder and Battle of the Sexes. That’s enough movies for the next few months…

Untitled
We got back Wednesday evening in Los Angeles about 10:00 PM, and got home by 11:30 PM. Bed by midnight. The next morning I waited for a carpool (that whoops, didn’t show up) so got a ride to work thanks Zach!

Untitled
Brought back some pasta for Tristan as a thank you for watching Glenn the gecko!

Untitled
Thanks for the ride, Zeen. We don’t look tired at all…

Untitled
Back to Getty life.

Untitled
My sad desk lunch. Doesn’t quite compare to the pasta we’d been eating.

Untitled
My mom gave me a BUNCH of avocados from her friend’s tree that all rippened while we were gone so we mashed a bunch of avocado and froze half…

Untitled
And made guacamole with the other half. Luxurious!

Zach’s off to a rehearsal and I tidied a little. I still am liking my new bag I got from a market in Rome.

Kiki came over and Sufi promptly stood on her.

A time change happened while we were gone so now it is extra dark in the mornings.

Untitled
Thursday—little vines reaaaaching for the sun.

Feet still sore from all the walking

Morning…expecting rain

Untitled
Evening…seemed a little rainy?

Untitled
And then in the car it started raining for real.

Untitled
Ah, the junk food of home!

Untitled
Orchid watch! So excited…I can’t believe I kept a plant alive a whole year (well, to be fair…Zach has been main plant caretaker).

Saturday! Worked at the Villa on some photo gathering opportunities. Dragged Kiki to come model for me.

*Brain in another dimension, so tired*

Untitled
Got home and hung out with Tweedy and tried to stay awake until at least 8 PM.

Untitled
Started watching Wormwood. Have you seen it? It’s def a trip.

Untitled
Sunday. Spent a large part of the morning lounging with the dogs.

For lunch had a beautiful leftover bento box that my mom dropped off after a family friend’s funeral service. 😦

Untitled
Added even more takuan yum

Untitled
Tiiired and waiting for Zach to get back from another all day rehearsal so we can go to dinner.

Went back home to have dinner with my parents and Tubby.

Beautiful corned beef and potatoes and carrots made by my mom in honor of St. Patrick’s Day that happened the night before.

Been jetlagged still but it just means I wake up extra early so no complaints there!

Hope you had a great week last week and that this one is shaping up nicely.

Much love friends!
