MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: AUGUST 28–SEPTEMBER 3, 2017!
A milestone week—I finished my 10 week course, visited the 626 Night Market for the first time, coached Tristan successfully through Season 1 of Game of Thrones, and purchased my new baby, the Fujifilm X-T2. Oh, and got three shots.
So it happened…the finale fo Season 7! Our last recap.
Psyched for tonight…my class user experience research class!

A bit of trip planning
A treat I picked up when I was last over by Sawtelle
It’s already way too hot
Wore something other than pants (trousers for your UK english speakers) today!
Kiki, Selina, and I headed out to the http://www.626nightmarket.com/626 Night Market
The night market is a pop up for the weekend every few weeks in the summers. It’s at the Santa Anita racetrack out in Arcadia, basically out in a big flat parking lot.
Fried pork belly bun
Onigiris and karaage
We wandered around checking out all the booths, evaluating the lines, scoping out the drinks. LOTS of novelty glasses—cauldrons, lightbulbs, chemistry sets, etc.
Squid to go
So tempted by the No Face phone cover
Back at Selina’s to pet her kitties and collect our carpoolers
Marlin got neuteured a few days ago
He struggled to figure out why the toy wasn’t falling out
HE’S SO CUTE
I probably should be embarassed by the amount of shit and reciepts in my purse…but I’m honestly impressed that my medium sized bag help all of this stuff and I knew it was a bit stuffed but didn’t realize the true horror of the contents. Found a memory card and quarters!
LET’S MAKE A DEAL taping! Got an email from a random audience-finding website that I forgot I signed up for probably years ago at this point. So we got go to to Let’s Make a Deal, rent costumes, go through the whole thing, etc…can’t tell you what happened but it was a 5 hour ordeal.
Hungry and exhausted
Off to the Hollywood Forever Cemetary
To line up for entry for the outdoor moving screening of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
Note the cheese/pretzel broomsticks and chocolate cockroach clusters
Fast walking into the cemetary
Got our seats
Butter beer (aka fireball and cream soda) in Voldemort’s head
Had a blast with HP 1. Haven’t seen it in a while and boy o boy it’s cute as hell.

Groceries for the week
After much deliberation and reading too many reviews and online comparisons, and even taking this camera’s sister version out into the field…I finally purchased by own Fujifilm X-T2!
First blurry photo on my new baby, the Fujifilm X-T2
My sad looking one pan tilapia and sweet potato bake
And the even sadder “General Tso’s Cauliflower.” I really need to stop trusting my oven.
Ended Sunday evening with more trip planning for our upcoming three-week travel to Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia. Curious about where plans are for that? I just posted an update here.
