MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: APRIL 17–23, 2017!

A bomb threat at work (don’t worry, nothing happened), seeing Kiki as much as possible before her trip to the Philippines, biking and flower-watching, and seeing my little cousin’s basketball tournament.

Enjoy!

There was a bomb threat at work (don’t worry—everything turned out okay, nothing was found on the campus) but that meant we had to evacuate.

Untitled Untitled
Walked with Kiki from her apartment to get some tacos. She leaves for like 3 weeks in the Philippines so I gotta see her as much as poss!

I stopped for groceries and noticed that these giant eggs were on sale after Easter. Had to get one.

Untitled Decided to be nice and leave it for Zeen full of snacks. Untitled

The flowers in my neighborhood have been so fragrant and bright and delightful

Picked up some fellow staff members on the way to an off-site meeting. Was tempted to take my own pop up cone.

More poke. I wish I could just be constantly eating raw fish.

Took the doggos to the dog park

Untitled I wish they were more social Untitled
Untitled Sufi managed to jump out of the trunk into the backseat but Tweedy couldn’t make the jump ahah. Untitled
I took my car to get serviced and my Dobby was missing from the car when I got it back! After a lot of calls and driving back there a few times, they recovered the Dobby. Dobby had accidentally been placed in somebody else’s car! Could you imagine how scary that would be to have a new Dobby just in your car without your permission ahah.

Met up with Evan and Kate and Zeen and Ders to watch the first of the Jazz/Clippers play off games. #Sports

And I’ll leave the week here! With D&D and sleeping pups.

    1. Oooh! Twice a week is impressive. My crew gets together every other week or so—but I’d like to get together more, I’m sure the world building is more immersive that way.

      What’s your character! 🙂

      1. I play a moon elf Druid with an animal companion who is another Druid trapped in her wild shape form. My own side quest involves trying to help her destroy the magic that is keeping her hostage.

My husband is the DM and we have about 6-10 people that play. It varies based on work schedules and we weave players in and out as needed. It’s a lot of fun!

I recommend recording a session or two to look back on. I have particularly funny clip where our Puerto Rican friend was asked to play a Spanish speaking NPC named Emilio who had taken all the money of another player (Vaulder) after he disappeared for a long time (it was part of his backstory). Emilio spent all the money on a big party and now Vaulder wanted it back. It was pretty funny watching them interact. 🙂 if I get a chance I’ll upload it to YouTube if you want to watch. It’ll go down in history as one of the best nights we had.

      2. Whoaaaaaa awesome! We are still beginners—but when we get better maybe we’ll tape, that’s a fun idea! I think if we taped now we’d look back and be like “wow we are so slow at calculating throws” haha.

One of my favorite things that recently happened is we fought and killed two beetles with crab claws (forgetting the monster name) and realized they were protecting a nest…*oops*…Zach’s character decided to go into the nest and rub up on an egg…and it hatched and imprinted on him. Now he’s got a baby version who lives in his backpack and he’s teaching him to be resistant to poison. Pretty cute.
